This practice is an invitation to Imagine what it might feel like to let go.
The desire to fix or improve yourself in any way.
And instead to meet yourself exactly as you are in this moment.
In full expression of yourself.
In this moment you don't need to be improved.
You don't need to be different.
Nothing about this moment needs to be changed.
So begin by gently arriving where you are.
Allowing your body to be supported.
To be held by the surface beneath you.
I'm just noticing any tension.
You might be holding.
Allowing it to unwind a little.
You don't need to hold yourself quite so tightly right now.
Taking a slow,
Deep breath in.
Letting the exhale be a release.
Letting go.
Again breathing in and letting go on the exhale.
Often in our lives we get caught up in the need or desire.
To improve ourselves.
To make ourselves better.
To make ourselves stronger.
To make ourselves more in some way.
And personal development isn't a bad thing.
There is something beautiful about growing,
Learning and changing.
But when this is our constant aim.
When we're always striving to become something other than what we are.
It can begin to send a message to our bodies that.
.
.
Somehow we are not enough.
That we are less than.
That we are not good enough,
Strong enough,
Beautiful enough.
That somehow we are wrong.
So just for this moment.
I invite you to let go.
Of any need to be different.
And you need to change yourself in any way.
And instead to simply explore what you feel in this moment.
Noticing how your body feels in the space.
Begin by scanning the outside of your body.
Your skin.
Noticing any sensations here.
Perhaps the temperature of the air around you.
Maybe noticing the fabric of your clothing against your skin.
The sensation of being touched by the world around you.
And then dropping a little deeper.
Perhaps you notice some subtle threads of tension.
Or discomfort.
Maybe your neck feels a little tight or your back.
Maybe there is an ache somewhere in your body.
Whatever you feel.
Rather than trying to push it away.
Or feeling like you need to do something about it.
Let's instead just acknowledge that it's there.
Let's sit beside it.
Become curious about it.
Perhaps you can send a little breath.
Towards the area that is calling for your attention.
Giving whatever you feel full permission.
In this moment.
To be exactly as it is.
Without needing to change it.
Without needing to fix it.
Just allowing this aspect of your human experience to be here.
Exactly as it is in this moment.
And perhaps just for this moment.
Letting go of the attachment to your experience.
Being good or bad.
Positive or negative.
Instead simply acknowledging this is an experience.
As humans,
We experience such a wide and rich tapestry of sensations,
Emotions and experiences.
Some we enjoy.
Some we don't.
Some feel easy.
And some feel incredibly difficult.
And when we push away the experiences we don't want to feel.
We can sometimes create even more tension around them.
And they can grow louder.
So just noticing in your body.
What you feel.
As you accept and surrender to not trying to fix it.
As you allow your experience to be exactly as it is in this moment.
Notice how your body responds.
Maybe you feel a release.
A sense of relief.
A letting go.
And maybe this concept feels challenging.
Maybe you notice your body tightening in response.
That too is okay.
Just allowing your experience in this moment to be as it is.
Knowing that sensations and emotions come and go.
They move through us.
They change,
They flow.
When we hold on too tightly to anything it can become stagnant.
So perhaps rather than holding on or pushing away,
We can simply allow.
Once again,
Taking a few slow,
Deep breaths.
Thanking your body for showing you exactly where it is in this moment.
For communicating with you,
For allowing you to feel.
Once again noticing how your body feels in this space knowing that you can come back to this practice at any moment.
When you notice yourself caught in the desire to fix.
To change.
To become something else.
You can pause.
You can breathe.
You can remember You don't need to be different to be worthy of love.
You don't need to be free from pain.
You don't need to be without tension.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
You're already enough.
Regardless of your experience,
Whether you're feeling tension,
Pain,
Sadness,
Joy,
Peace,
Uncertainty.
You're still already enough.
And when you're ready,
Slowly bringing your awareness back to your body.
The space around you.
Noticing some of the sounds around you.
Wiggling your fingers and toes.
Or bringing a little bit of movement into your body.
And when you're ready slowly opening your eyes and going about your day.
Thank you for joining me today.
