Let us close down our eyes and surrender to this moment.
Surrendering is not something that you can achieve by trying or pushing.
It's not something that can be helped with a to-do list.
Surrendering is an art,
The gentle art of letting go,
Of acknowledging that you are not in control,
And instead trusting,
Trusting that you are supported by the universe in this moment and every moment.
When we try to push our agenda,
To control everything in our lives,
Our bodies become tense.
We constrict against the chaos.
We constrict against the idea of not being in control.
Instead,
If we can let go of the idea that there is only good and bad experiences,
And acknowledge that all we have are lessons,
And that even with the hardest of lessons comes wisdom,
Even if you can't see that wisdom right now,
One day you will.
Surrendering is a practice.
Surrendering is an art.
Surrendering is the source of creativity,
Of opening your body and your heart to the infinite possibilities that are available to you,
And leaning into this flow.
Become aware of your breath.
Notice how your body breathes for you.
Even if you were to try to stop breathing,
Your body would not allow it,
Not yet.
Witness the gentle flow of air in and out of your nose.
Feel the dance of your chest and belly as they rise and fall with each breath,
Without you having to do anything.
In this moment,
Feel how you can let go,
How you can allow your body to become a little heavier,
How you can surrender to this process,
And let your body breathe for you.
Now place a hand over your heart.
Let your body feel that you are here,
That you are present,
That you are listening,
And repeat these words.
I trust that I am supported.
I trust that the universe will provide for me.
I trust that I am worthy.
I trust that I am loved.
I trust that I am enough.
Let these words sink in,
Into your skin,
To your body,
To your heart,
And gently surrender to the truth of them.
