(see finger movements below for full practice ) This is the Kirtan kriya for β€œtruth is our identity" in Kundalini yoga and meditation. Some view this as a death and rebirth of the spirit. Practice this daily, preferably at the start of your day right after awakening. Practice for at least 40 days for the best benefits. In Kirtan Kriya, a meditation technique, the finger movements, or "mudras," are paired with the chanting of the mantra "Sa Ta Na Ma". The finger movements are: "Sa" - touch the index finger to the thumb, "Ta" - touch the middle finger to the thumb, "Na" - touch the ring finger to the thumb, and "Ma" - touch the pinky finger to the thumb. Here's a more detailed breakdown: "Sa": Touch the index finger of each hand to your thumb. "Ta": Touch the middle finger of each hand to your thumb. "Na": Touch the ring finger of each hand to your thumb. "Ma": Touch the little finger of each hand to your thumb.

day 1/40. this practice is almost indescribable. I felt such peace and clarity toward the middle as the chanting died down. as if the equanimity I’ve been searching for through my daily meditation practice (day 99 today) was with me the whole time, it’s just been a matter of acknowledgement and remembering. excited to experience more shifts. addendum: I’ve missed a few days along the way, but I’m surely rounding out 40 days of sa ta na ma this week. some of the changes I’ve experienced by seeking truth through this meditation include repairing an important relationship in my life, discovering the Bhagavad Gita and the poetry of the great Sufi mystic Hafez, engaging directly with abundance in the most unpredictable blessings I’ve received in my life, and returning to my creative practice of making music with a whole new level of vulnerability. in other words, I *highly* recommend sa ta na ma as an addition to your daily meditation practice. grateful for this meditation πŸ˜ŒπŸ™πŸΎ.

Really enjoyed this one. I had been doing another guided kirtan kriya in this app that was wonderful as it explained the meanings of the sa ta na ma. I had felt it was time to move on with no guided words after doing that one for a few years. This one is perfect for me right now. The music and is wonderful. This is a wonderful guide for this practice.

I have been practicing this daily with my husband and this is the best version we have found! The rhythm of the music is perfect and it is easy to tell when to change from chant, to whisper to silent without the need for a lot of words to interrupt the flow of the meditation. Thank you!
