This meditation is great for getting out of your mind and into your body.

You can do this anytime during the day,

Before you exercise,

Before you drive,

Before a work meeting,

Anytime you have anxiety.

You cannot have anxiety if you are in your body.

If you are fully in your body,

Anxiety cannot live there.

It only lives in your head.

So it's important to live as most of your day as you can in your body.

And this is a muscle,

Kind of like muscle memory,

That the more you practice,

The easier it comes,

The faster you can get into your body,

And the more at peace you will be.

So to get ready,

Just sit up in a comfortable position,

Close your eyes,

Breathe in,

Relax your neck and shoulders,

And we're going to breathe in and out,

And we're going to activate the throat chakra.

This is where,

This is really where we get into our bodies through our throat chakra and bring in what I refer to as energy,

Some would say the soul,

Whatever you'd like to call it.

So we're going to breathe in,

Breathe out,

Focus on our body being present.

It might feel weird at first,

Making these noises,

But this is activating the throat chakra which it opens up to help us get this outside energy and to get in touch with our body.

Okay,

You can wiggle your jaw a little bit,

Wiggle your toes,

Wiggle your fingers,

Whatever kind of comes natural for you.

And when you breathe in,

Breathe out,

Like a humming sound,

And this is you connecting to your body.

Try to make sure that these are slow breaths in through your nose,

Out through your mouth.

You may find that it's difficult to make noise,

Sometimes when we're so in our heads it's actually difficult,

So just keep practicing and don't think about it too much,

Just try to go through the motions.

You can go a little louder and a little longer.

Now if you can envision the breath coming into your nose,

Throughout your body,

Imagine it,

I imagine it as light,

So I can really picture it and get in touch with my body.

Now you can start waving the upper body,

Whatever,

There's no right way,

You can make circular motions side to side,

Diagonal,

Whatever way your body wants to flow,

But just having that upper body,

Really just being in your body and feeling vibrations.

Now let that light travel through your upper body,

Imagine it's going along with the motions and the waving motions you're doing.

You can circle your shoulders a little bit,

Roll your neck slowly,

Slowly roll it around,

And you can roll it the opposite direction.

I want you to focus on different body parts.

So I want you to start with wiggling your toes,

Envision this light coming up to your knees,

Your hips,

Your elbows,

The palms of your hands,

To your shoulders,

And through the throat,

The throat chakra really make sure it passes through there and vision that light passing through to your chin,

Your lips,

Your nose,

Eyelids,

Your ears,

The back of your neck,

All the way to the top of your head.

Now take in another big,

Loud breath.

Stay focused on the body parts and breathe.

Again,

This might feel a little strange at first,

That's okay.

Just go through the motions and you'll get more used to it as you practice.

So this is where we're going to call our soul in,

Our energy,

Whatever you want to refer to it as.

And unless you're out of your head,

It can't happen,

It can't come in,

So stay in that space.

Decide to be present.

You decide.

Don't think,

Just decide.

Continue to wave your body whichever way feels natural.

If you feel like you're anxious or stressed,

Take a pause.

Slow your breath down.

Sway the body back and forth slowly.

Breathe in and out,

Making noise,

Making the humming sound.

Now I want you to place your hand over your heart and the other over your throat.

Gently.

So when you're in your head too much,

You're separated from your body.

The body from the chin down.

And that oftentimes,

That's why we get those stomach aches,

The headaches,

Lack of periods,

Heavy periods,

And a lot of other health issues.

So the throat is the gateway.

So when you're doing this,

Picture it as a bridge that needs to be reconnected.

So you choose now to connect it.

You're deciding,

You're choosing.

Being disconnected comes from not feeling good enough,

Not feeling heard,

Not being in your body due to fear or anxiety.

So we're going to do this.

We're going to decide to do this now and put your hand down the throat still.

It should still be there.

Take a breath to feel the vibration.

You can feel it with your hand.

Stay relaxed in your jaw.

Take a deep breath.

Feel the vibration.

If you are blocked,

You may not be able to make a sound and that's OK.

Keep trying until you can make a long humming sound.

Whatever thoughts come in,

Observe them,

Hear them.

We want to hear thoughts.

We want this will help us know because you will listen and observe.

Just listen to them and observe.

See what's coming in.

If you have any thoughts,

Anxious thoughts,

Whatever it is,

Keep swaying side to side.

What are the I can'ts,

The fears,

Anything that has kept you disconnected?

I want you to just observe them.

Don't fight them.

Don't worry about them.

Just observe them and remember them.

Now,

Say with me,

I decide that I am going to embody.

Just like you decide to set a cup of water down on the table,

You decide.

Same thing here.

It is just a decision.

I decide I'm going to embody.

I decide I'm going to be in my body instead of my mind.

I am allowing and declaring that I am safe and strong and letting my soul energy,

Whatever you refer to it as,

Come into my body.

Now,

I want you to put both hands on your heart.

Sway however you like moving,

Just like before.

Preferably slow.

That can just make you focus on the body a little more.

Calm it down like motions of the waves.

Let it out like when you were a child,

When you had no fears or cares what other people thought.

Breathe in and out.

Put your hands on your hips and sway back and forth,

Side to side.

This is where our feminine energy lives and thrives.

It's very important as women to be able to activate this part of our body.

That's why with dancing,

It's very feminine to move the hips in all different cultures.

There's a lot of hip movements for women dancing.

Now you're going to call in your soul,

Your truth,

Energy,

Whatever you call it,

To come in.

Our soul will only come in when it's safe,

So we must be present.

I am safe.

I am present.

It is time to come home.

So we're bringing that energy,

That soul back.

If you feel awkward,

That's fine.

This is new.

I felt awkward when I first did it as well.

You just accept it and know with practice it will feel pure and beautiful.

Now we say,

I am ready to receive.

There might be a block.

Sometimes some of us are blocked from receiving love,

And this is a form of love.

We are giving ourselves love and positive energy.

If you are feeling blocked or pain,

Identify where in the body there may be pain or resistance,

Your stomach,

Your head.

Observe the symptoms of being disconnected from your body and your head.

We now know where you block it.

So mine is often in my jaw,

My neck,

My head.

Just acknowledge,

Keep moving hips and swaying,

And say,

I am free.

I am free.

Acknowledge,

And then decide you're coming home.

Open throat so the soul can come through.

Breathe in and out.

Ahhhh.

Now envision that light coming down from your head,

Through the throat,

Down the abdomen,

Through the tailbone.

Do this again,

And keep moving your hips.

If you get blocked,

It's because you haven't completely decided yet.

And it is time for change.

You have to decide to get into your body and out of your head.

And this can take time,

So practice as much as you can the first time,

And after that you just continue to practice and it will get easier.

Now,

Creating pure energy,

Imagine the light running down the crown of your head,

Face,

Through your throat.

And again,

Say,

I am ready to receive.

I am safe.

I am free.

Now you will find what your comfortable mantras are.

I am safe.

Maybe it doesn't resonate.

Maybe I am enough.

I am loved.

Something that you feel you may be missing and you need to add to this.

Explore them,

Figure out which ones work best for you.

Keep swaying and repeating your mantras,

Taking breaths,

Bringing all of your energy to your heart,

And light it up with all the energy you can.

Really focus on it.

I am enough.

I am safe.

I am loved.

I believe in myself.

Life is easy.

Focus that energy onto your heart.

This is what love is.

This is not overwhelming.

It is what love is.

Pure energy from source,

Not in your head,

But in your body.

You are vulnerable.

You are safe.

You are free.

Sit in this spot,

Appreciate being in your body.

You've been grounded.

May feel a little heavy at first.

Your body isn't used to this energy being there.

You are in control now though.

You are connecting to your superpower.

Hold this space.

Feel the presence of being in your body.

This may be uncomfortable if you aren't comfortable receiving love or self-love.

You are the only one who can work on that and decide to accept it and open up to this.

This is another muscle.

Repetition will make it easier and you can get in your body way faster as time goes on.

But for now,

Sit and enjoy this space.

Focus on your body.

You can keep being in this space if you want to.

Or you can count down with me to opening our eyes.

Three,

Two,

One.

This will get easier and more comfortable.

I'm going to end this meditation with a simple Namaste.
