Welcome to this meditation for sleep.

My name is Belle and I will be guiding you through the next few minutes.

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Whether sitting or lying down,

Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in through your nose,

Feeling your chest and abdomen expand with air.

Hold it for a moment,

Then exhale slowly letting go of any tension you may be holding onto.

As you continue to breathe deeply and rhythmically,

Allow your body to relax with each breath.

Feel the weight of your body sinking into the surface beneath you,

Supported and safe.

With each breath,

Imagine a wave of relaxation washing over you,

Starting from the top of your head and flowing down to your toes.

Feel every muscle in your body softening and releasing any tightness or tension.

As you focus on your breath,

Let go of any thoughts or distractions that may arise.

Simply acknowledge them without judgment and gently bring your attention back to your breath.

Now shift your focus to the sensation of warmth and comfort surrounding you.

Imagine yourself in a cosy,

Peaceful space where you feel completely at ease.

Picture yourself lying in a soft bed,

Wrapped in a warm blanket,

Ready to drift off into a deep and restful sleep.

As you visualize this tranquil scene,

Allow yourself to surrender to the feeling of relaxation.

Let go of any worries or concerns from the day and trust that you are exactly where you need to be in this moment.

With each breath,

Feel yourself sinking deeper into a state of profound relaxation.

Notice how your body feels heavy and warm,

Completely at peace with the present moment.

Now imagine your mind as a clear blue sky,

Vast and expansive.

Any thoughts or concerns that drift across this sky are like clouds passing by,

Transient and fleeting.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Imagine these thoughts gently dissipating into the distance,

Leaving behind a sense of stillness and calm.

Allow yourself to rest here for as long as you need,

Feeling grateful for this opportunity to rest and rejuvenate.

Carry this sense of relaxation and inner peace with you.

Remember that you can return to this meditation whenever you need to find solace and comfort in the embrace of sleep.
