The New Role of the Caregiver, Pt. 2

In this episode, I will continue talking about the new role of the caregiver with Archangel Ariel and how she can assist with your Soul Mission and Spiritual Journey. Episode aired February 16, 2017.

Hi friends, Welcome back to Heavenly Hugs. In this episode, We'll continue talking about the new role of the caregiver with Archangel Ariel and how she can continue to help you on your soul mission and spiritual journey. Welcome back. Last podcast, We talked about the new role of the caregiver and we talked about the Archangel Ariel and her role into empower and help us with courage and bravery to kind of speak up, Ask for our truth, Stand in our power, Set boundaries, Give and receive. Then had started to ask a few questions about the caregiver and who am I, When now I don't have all these responsibilities or these people, If you've made some major changes in your life, Maybe you find yourself single, Maybe you find yourself looking for a job or in a new job, Maybe you're in a different place and feeling a little insecure or uncomfortable, Even though you know it's a good thing. I'd also like to talk about Archangel Ariel and how she helps us find our way on our soul mission. She helps us to move through the doors, See the guidance and the steps to take that's really going to help us with fulfillment and joy. It's a scary thing when we've made changes and we're not really sure how things are going to work out, It invokes fear. One of the things that I like to talk about is how we have two paths in life. We have our soul mission and we have our spiritual journey. Your soul mission is how you're helping others. It could be your job in serving nurses, Teachers, Social workers and so forth and so on, But your spiritual journey is what you're doing for yourself. Caregivers are really good at taking care of others, Letting people go at stop signs, Helping people in grocery stores. Your spiritual journey, As I said, Is what you're doing for yourself. We've really been working on that the last few years. What do I like to do? Sometimes we spend so much time helping everybody else that you may find yourself in a place like, I don't even know what I like to do. I'm doing the same old things and I think it feels good, But it really doesn't. This is spiritual journey stuff and the key is to find balance with soul mission and spiritual journey. It's like walking, Soul mission, Spiritual journey. If you get too far out on your soul mission where you're taking care of everybody, Tired, Depleted and drained, What's going to happen is you're going to start to feel like you're dragging yourself along and you're not going to be aware of how you're feeling. On the opposite end, You could be so self-absorbed and not taking care of other people and start dragging that along. The idea is to find balance. Spiritual journey stuff is taking care of your health, Doing your laundry, Making sure your space is clear. It's making sure your gas tank is filled up and your car and for yourself included. It's finding those things that really help to fill you up. If you find yourself in a place where your world is different, I have so many clients who have started new jobs or are in new relationships or just out of relationships. There's the struggle of, Gosh, I really want to still help people, But I'm afraid that I'm going to get taken advantage of or I'm more afraid that I don't know what I like and who I am. Part of it is exploring that. Now, There's many things we can do. You can sign up for a pain class, You can take a yoga class, You can go on a hiking trip. I have to say some things you're really going to enjoy and other things you're going to be like, Nope, That's not for me. Ariel helps to bring the people, The places, The things and ideas into your vibration. As I mentioned last time, The universe angels, God ascended masters, They abide by the floor of free will, So they can't intervene unless you're asking. Ariel is such a beautiful, Light energy. I mentioned that she's the color of pink. She sends bunnies into your life. She's the lioness of the pride. She works with females and and men who are doing it all. You're managing the finances, You're taking care of the kids, You're working, You're having to get house chores done and also trying to find time for personal time. She helps you to find balance. It's as simple as in the morning or at night or throughout the day saying, Archangel Ariel, Please assist me and show me the next steps of my soul mission. Show me the joys and the happiness. And the challenge is to be present. A good friend of mine has said, Be where your butt is. If your butt's here, Be here. If it's in the car, Be there. If it's at home, Be there. And what it does is it teaches you to be aware of how you're feeling. And the best way to find out what you like to do is paying attention to those things that feel good. I was never really one to watch TV or movies. But recently I got Netflix and I'm really enjoying a good TV show, A good drama. And my boyfriend and I, We watch together and I really like the quality time that we spend together. So I find myself saying, Angels, I want more of this in my life. Now, That doesn't mean that I want to spend my whole life watching TV in bed and not doing anything, But I want to incorporate more of that quality time. It's spiritual journey stuff. It gives me downtime. It gives me time to reset. It gives me quality time with somebody that I love. And like I said, I never knew that before because I never had time to sit down and watch TV. I never gave myself permission to take a time out. So now that I am, I'm realizing it doesn't have to be alone. It doesn't have to be by myself. It just has to be with somebody that I enjoy being with or people that I enjoy being with. So I've done many things. I enjoy wine tasting nights. I enjoy spending time with my grandmother-in-law and just talking about spiritual concepts. And by taking care of my spiritual journey and getting my laundry done and getting my bills paid and opening up space and getting those have-tos and shoulds done, It's given me an opportunity to learn more about what it is that makes me feel good and that I enjoy. I definitely understand that I don't have time for that or there's always something to do. But I've also made adjustments to be able to make room for that in my life. So one of the things is I can be a big procrastinator. And one of my mantras this year in 2017 is to get stuff done. Don't put it off. Don't wait. So when the emails come in, Respond. When the voicemail messages come in, Do my best to get back. Creating pockets and windows that make it easier for people. For me, It's booking appointments online now and giving information on my website that are frequently asked questions. So these are things that I've set up to make my life more comfortable and easy so that I can be doing more of what I enjoy. I absolutely love my work. I love what I do. And I could absolutely be doing it morning, Noon and night. I have in the past and have gotten completely burned out and I see the value in being able to nurture my spiritual journey and appreciate that timeout or that downtime. And it's really vocalizing. Arielle helps to empower you to use your voice to ask for what you need. So if you need more support from your children or your spouse or your family members, They're more than capable. And what happens is you now inspire others to do the same. So when you're out talking to your coworkers and saying, Hey, I got an opportunity to do this and I watched this show and they're like, Well, How do you spend the time or wow, I really, Really would like to do that myself. You're now inspiring other people to do the same. So it really doesn't necessarily work. I find fighting the fight by fighting the fight. So the best way I say is we can go there with people, Oh, You poor thing and oh, That's so terrible and oh, I wish I could do something. And the thing is, Is people and myself included, We all need inspiration. So I have those mentors that I look up to that are, You know, World famous and then also wonderful people in my life who I can be inspired by. And what they're doing is they're just living their best life. They're appreciating their time with their family. They're strong and healthy and they set boundaries for themselves. They're good at giving and receiving. And so I use that as an example to get myself where I want to be, To be inspired by that, You know, And so that idea of, You know, I've got to fight this person or I've got to, You know, Make this change and I've got to make everybody better around me. What it does is it just creates more negative energy, You know, And so Arielle can help you help open the doors to help you find your way. So if you're in a place right now that, You know, You've made changes in your life and you're not really sure what the next step is, You're not really sure, You know, What guidance is, Is you might not even know what you like to do. Ask her and then have patience to wait and see what comes up. You might be at Whole Foods and you might see a class or something that appeals you. You might pick up a magazine and you might be thumbing through and something jumps out of you. God and the angels, You know, They they bring guidance into our everyday life, You know, So we talked about being where your butt is, You know, And by doing that, You're more aware of what's happening around you. You're more aware of what people are doing that can inspire you. And in turn, By living your best life, You have no idea how much you are inspiring others to make changes and adjustments in their life. Now, I am one to tell people about my mistakes and my challenges and my difficulties. You know, I have my story on my website, You know, Because I think it's important to, You know, Inspire other people by, You know, The adversity that I've had in my life, You know, And and I have to say, I believe the Archangel Ariel is one of those powerful, Strong angels that have gotten me here. You know, This work that I do as a spirit medium, As an intuitive, Isn't something I grew up with. It's not something that I always knew I could do. It was something that I was led to. And now there's such a passion and there's a calling in it. And I'm forever grateful for my guides and the Archangel Ariel for for showing me the way for opening the doors for me, You know, And it was because of her that I found confidence and empowerment and courage to really put myself out there to face my fears, You know, And things that I've said I would never do. I've done which, You know, Has been incredible. And so Ariel's really been one of those angels that has been by my side, You know, She also helps with, You know, Finding a soul mission that's going to be able to financially support you. So not everyone is meant to leave their job and, You know, Pursue a hobby as a career. You know, A lot of times your job could support you in the financial security that you need so that you can do things that that you enjoy, Like kayaking or fishing or traveling. You know, Those are all things that, You know, A good job paying job would would support. And so it's not necessarily that you need to, Like, You know, Live your sole mission through your job. You know, I realized that the work that I did at the law firm provided me a financial security so that I could take these classes, These spiritual classes, So I could discover who I am and and really learn more about angels and guides and how to use them in my life and develop my mediumship skills. So and and the second that I was done taking those classes, It was time for me to leave my job. So, You know, I see that the step sometimes we're in situations or experiences we not necessarily appreciate, But we can also look at the other ways that it's supporting us. And so, You know, Just checking in to see to see where you're at, You know, Is it, You know, More your sole mission? Have you been working on your spiritual journey? You know, For the last few years or so, And now it's in time for you to work back in your sole mission. You know, The fear is what what if I make the mistake of, You know, Taking care of everybody again? What if, You know, I open myself up and I get hurt, You know, We're moving into a time period where authenticity and being real and putting down the walls and being vulnerable is is the most important because it's allowing people to see the true us the true beauty of who we are. So by, You know, Discovering these, You know, These challenges and by discovering the the the things that you want to do, It's only going to help you, You know, Be a better version of who you are now, You know, And so this being a one year and you know, The way I get that is if you add the numbers of 2017 those numbers numbers equal 10 and in numerology, We always kind of reduce a double digit to one. So one plus zero equals one. So when you add 2018 it equals 11 add those numbers together. It equals 11 and we have one plus one equals two and so forth and so on. So this nine year cycle isn't just for spiritual people. It isn't just for, You know, People who are awakened or aware or it's for everybody across the board. So if you're new listening to this and you're not a very spiritual person, But you know, There's something that you feel like you're missing you want to know more of, You know, This is the guidance for for you as well. You could be just starting your awakening. You could be just starting like, Oh my gosh, The world is changing and I'm uncomfortable and it's got to be more to life than this. You know, These are some really valuable tips and tools that can help you be more comfortable with with what the next steps are for you. And I have to acknowledge that if you don't know, It's actually one of the best places to be. You know, I have to honestly say I was taking these classes when I was working for the law firm and I was inspired by them and I enjoyed them and and I liked working with energy, You know, But I still didn't know or believe that I could start a business and make it work. You know, I started in 2007 when it was just on the cusp of that financial downfall. You know, When I got let go from my job, You know, My first thought was like, What do I do now? You know, And when I finally said, You know, You know, It's time for me to really pursue this. Within a few weeks, An office opened up for me and I rented space for from an acupuncturist in Cranston. And that's really how it started. So for the first five years of my business, I really didn't know if it was going to work out. I didn't really know if it was the right thing. I knew it felt good in my heart and I had so much resistance. You're going to start a business now. It's the worst time, You know, You can really how do you think you can support yourself doing that and so forth and so on. So, You know, I let these people get in my head, You know, And you might have people out there who who they meant well, I'm not judging that, But it forced me to realize like, No, This is what I really want to do. And looking back for me, I wish I I wish I relaxed a little more. I wish I wasn't so fearful about embarking on this sole mission, Which in turn really empowered my spiritual journey. I've learned so much about myself just by living my sole mission and following the guidance. You know, I say that, You know, God, I believe God chooses people for certain tasks and certain jobs and and for me, I struggled with this gift that I have. And it's not a gift, You know, Being able to connect with people that I think we don't all have. But the gift is really to be able to take on the challenges of a business with it to be able to put myself out there and expose myself and share this with people for their greater good so that you know that you're not alone and there are others out there that are having these experiences and are feeling what you're feeling. And so I struggled with this gift because I really like my privacy. I really like, You know, To be home and comfortable. And this is something where you put yourself out there, You know, And so I'm now almost 10 years into this work. And I feel like just now I'm starting to really appreciate the the the space that I'm in, You know, So I say to you, If you're just beginning, You're gonna get yourself there, You know, It just takes time. So really, My first thought when I left my first intuitive reading was, What do I have to lose? So I asked you as well, What do you have to lose? Open up to the Archangel Ariel, Invite her in your life. And I really truly believe you will be amazed at the way your life changes for the better. And now once again, I'd like to open up questions to my producer, Ben. And maybe these are things that you're thinking about as well. Yeah, Thank you very much, Gladys. Um, So this has been a fascinating topic to listen to. And I wanted to talk a little bit about the soul mission and spiritual journey stuff. So as I said, Last episode, I would, I would classify myself as a caregiver. And that is just to clarify for me, That is your soul mission, Right? Is giving? Yes, Serving, Helping others. Yep, Right. And your spiritual journey for a caregiver would then be to your own journey how to how to better yourself while being able while serving your soul mission. Yes. So yep, So spiritual journey is, You know, So for example, My soul mission is this work. It's being able to help people being able to serve in some way. My spiritual journey is I like to run distance, I like to watch movies and Netflix, You know, With my boyfriend. These aren't necessarily things that I'm serving, But it's like my downtime and my hobbies and things that I'm enjoying, That not necessarily has to be taking care of other people. And there needs to be a separation there needs to be you know, Your whole life can't be your job taking care of others, Taking care of your family, Taking care of your friends, You know, There's got to be some balance because what's going to happen like you said, There becomes resentment, There becomes anger, You become tired and depleted and feeling unimportant, You know, Or what about me, You know, Right. And so by giving yourself that opportunity, It helps to bring in balance. Now, Ironically, And we talked about this a little bit when we met a couple weeks ago, About the nine year cycle. When we were coming to the end of that nine year cycle, The last months of it, Right, I was really focusing on the caregiver, Trying to help and fix everything. And around the end of December, By the time everything had kind of resolved itself, Like most of my life looks pretty differently than it did six months ago at this point. And, Um, Mostly through other other people. And when it when it shifted, Um, I had a severe, Uh, Oh, What what about me? What did I? Yes. What do I do now that everything's? Yes. Now that everything's fixed? Or not, You know, Not that everything's fixed and perfectly changed. Yeah. Now that now that the shift happened, Um, And I didn't have this responsibility that I felt anymore. Um, I hadn't done anything with my spiritual journey yet. Yes. Towards that. So there was this real empty feeling. Absolutely. And it was horrible. A lot of people were feeling that. Yeah, Myself included. Um, And, Uh, So just is it? So is it really? So the balance is what keeps you from? Absolutely. From those. And you remember I was saying about that pain. We have to feel that pain a little bit in order to know that it's time to make changes. And I should reiterate that the new role of the caregiver is we can no longer fix, Change, Save or make better for everybody anymore. Right? Because we have realized that we become tired, Drained and depleted. But we are caregivers. Our joy is to serve and help others. That's how we're fulfilled. So when I asked God and the angels about that, Like, Well, Wait a minute, Like, This is what I do. Like, What am I supposed to be doing? The guidance was shift the energy into it so we can no longer fix, Change, Save and make better. But what we can do and will do is comfort people, Support them, Teach them, Inspire them by living our best life. Right? So now you've got this empty space which feels uncomfortable. The magic is learning how to be comfortable, Uncomfortable because being uncomfortable is showing you that you're moving in the right direction, You know, And and and again, That's why I say call in the angel Ariel if you're not really sure, Hey, I've got this empty space right here. And I've got these negative people out of my life. But we've learned to kind of feed off of that, Right? That's been given us jobs and things to do, You know, And now it's not like our heart is saying, You know, I don't want to keep doing that. It doesn't feel good to do that. Plus, It's not helping, You know, The other people and don't get me wrong. I was definitely not just a caregiver, But I was definitely with people in my life fix me, Save me, Change me, Make me better. So I'm not saying anything bad about those people as well, Because they are incredible teachers, Right? I was a teacher for those people. And again, I got sucked right into being the caregiver as well. So, You know, So it's important to feel that so that you can make the changes, Right? It's going to force you to make the changes to get yourself where you want to be that feels good. So I say be mindful of what does make you feel good, You know, And what you're appreciating, You know, Do you have a minute to look out at the sky? Do you have a minute to take a walk, You know, Hanging out with friends, You know, And being able to incorporate more of that into your life. Now you've got baby steps into, Hey, This feels really good on my spiritual journey. I want more of this. Well, Thank you very much for that. And I just had one more quick question. In the beginning of this topic, You talked about how if you want, Excuse me, I'm so sorry. If you want love, Maybe you'll feel loneliness. But then you also talked about, You know, I love watching Netflix and I want more of this. So you ask, I want more of this or something better. So when you ask for more of that, Do you sometimes get the opposite? Or is that a two? Sometimes. Yeah. And sometimes, And when I'm doing those things though, I really appreciate it, You know, And I'll say, Okay, I want more of this, You know? So for example, When you want to invite true love into your life and you experience loneliness, That helps you to explore ways that is going to help you feel good, Right? It helps you explore ways that, So, So by being able to have that opportunity to, Let's say, You know, Watch a really good series, It's teaching me more about things that I love, Right? That experience is actually the baby steps to actually getting you to really appreciate and invite love into your life. Awesome. Well, Thank you very much. You're welcome.
