Are you your worst critic? Do you get stuck in a pattern of negative self-talk? A lot of us wish we could be more positive but that is easier said than done. Maybe negative thoughts are so hard to shake because they are really trying to send us an important message that we're just not hearing. This practice invites you to welcome these thoughts in and hear what they have to say. Perhaps they will lead you to discovery and somewhere truly wonderful!

So,

Let us begin by making yourself comfortable.

Taking your time to settle in.

Feel free to use any props,

Blankets,

Or pillows to make yourself as comfortable as you can.

Whether you're sitting or lying down.

And allowing the body to sink into the surface underneath you.

Allowing yourself to arrive here and now.

Welcoming the fact that you have nothing to do,

Nothing to get right or wrong.

Just to simply be in the present moment.

And as you rest here,

Beginning to open your senses.

Starting with the sounds that you might hear in the room,

Outside.

To the sensation of the air flowing through your nostrils.

Sensing any residual tastes in the mouth,

The temperature of the room.

Can you sense how the air feels on your skin?

Can you sense the weight of the clothes on your body?
