Enjoy this 5 minute rest before bed. In this meditation I have shared Psalms 16:7-9. Recenter and connect with those that are close to you before bed. Bring in some energy for the morning by getting rest now.

Good evening.

Welcome to this time of rest.

My name is Gwen,

And I have the honor of guiding you.

As you lay down,

Resting from the day's labors,

Take a big deep breath in and exhale.

We'll do that together.

Inhale through your nose,

Feeling your lungs,

Feeling your belly expand,

And exhale,

Emptying out your belly and your lungs.

Let it all the way out.

Stretch your legs out,

Point your heels out,

Feel the tightness in your calves,

Bring your toes up to your shins,

And then release.

Feel that relaxation come in.

I will praise the Lord who counsels me.

Even at night,

My heart instructs me.

I keep my eyes always on the Lord.

With him at my right hand,

I will not be shaken.

Therefore,

My heart is glad and my tongue rejoices.

My body also will rest secure.

Take a breath in and exhale.

Let that all out.

Again,

Let this scripture just wash over your body.

Psalm 16,

Seven through nine.

I will praise the Lord who counsels me.

Even at night,

Therefore,

Bring in some light reflection from the day.

Who are the people that you got to see?

How was your morning?

It might seem so far away.

Was there anyone particular that made you smile,

Feel special?

Was there anyone that you wanted to feel special?

Bring that person to mind.

Picture a beautiful hugging embrace between the two of you.

You can lift the corners of your mouth.

Just enjoy the feeling,

The feeling of love,

The feeling of security in your body.

We're going to count down with our breath.

Inhaling,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Hold at the top,

Three,

Two,

One.

And then exhale out,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Taking one nice,

Long,

Big,

Slow breath in your nose.

Feeling your ribcage expand.

And exhale that all the way out.

Thank you for joining me here at the end of your day.

Tomorrow's going to be a wonderful day.

You're going to wake up rested and rejuvenated and ready for the day.

But before that,

It's time to get some rest.
