This is George Kalantis and thanks for sitting with me today on Inside Timer.
I'm going to share with you a poem called The Creator.
I wrote this when I was lost,
When I was anxious,
When I was afraid to speak my truth.
And so this poem is designed to help you find your voice,
Connect your heart,
And really unlock that potential inside of you.
Because when you discover that everything that you need comes from within,
You're going to see that that is where the magic happens.
So find a comfortable place,
Let my words take you where you need to go,
And let's get into today's poem.
This is The Creator.
Something stirs deep within your heart and soul,
Fighting through your shallow breath.
Your heart begins to beat faster,
Goosebumps run up and down your spine,
As thoughts of inspiration grow stronger than the walls of heartbreak,
Depression,
And chaos that have closed you off to the world.
It has somehow surpassed your defenses,
And it is stronger than everything you fight to hold on.
Hope and possibility are the gatekeeper to your soul and the answers you have desperately been searching for.
Shallow breaths turn to full exhales,
And time slows down in the moments you write frantically,
Watching words bleed out from darkness within.
These moments of inspiration guide you where you need to go if you trust the place between the primal and divine.
Here you will find what your soul needs.
What was once true is no longer true in this moment you show up to a world greater than life itself.
Fear often paralyzes us for being true to who we are.
Feel much that it can feel hard to find your voice,
And then you lose yourself in the chase of life.
I have come to find my voice in the creator side of me well over the last few years.
Each time I was afraid of claiming my true self,
Of finding my voice,
I chose to write every day darkness came.
I think it's so important to trust yourself in the unknown,
No matter how hard it may seem,
Because it's important to see that the only way to grow and expand is to be one with this uncertainty in life.
Unfortunately,
Many of us will never find out who we are underneath the mask we hide behind.
Not because there aren't enough options or answers in our lives,
Because we're often caught up in the wrong chase,
And in that chase we're too blind to see that many of the things we crave are right in front of us.
If you find yourself in a place where you feel lost,
You must first learn to accept who you are underneath the chaos of life,
To reach for something inside of you rather than outside of you.
As you discover who you are underneath all the ways that you have experienced your life,
You're going to see that there is nowhere to go,
And liberation from your painful patterns begins by accepting everything you are.
So I'd like to do a little practice to help you connect with this creator side of you.
And so if you feel safe enough and comfortable to find your voice and connect your heart,
I'd like to guide you.
So get comfortable and close your eyes,
And just find the rhythm of your breath.
Take a deep breath in,
Exhale,
Let it go.
Just pause for a moment and feel the presence in the room around you.
Take another deep breath,
Let it go,
And just land in the essence of who you are underneath everything you hide behind.
Just keep breathing.
There's something deeper within.
And so as you breathe,
I want you to see if you can tap into those parts of you.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest,
And see if you can find this creator side deep within.
To rise to the surface,
To trust the parts of you that you're afraid to let go of.
Connect with your breath,
Place your hands on your heart,
And feel the rising fall of your chest.
Focus on each inhale and exhale as if it were your last one.
See if you can find something you want to let go of,
So that you can create whatever it is that you desire.
Give yourself permission to feel everything and dig deep to find a place of acceptance.
Even if it's for one breath,
You can feel that acceptance within.
See if you can focus on those feelings a little longer.
I'm going to ask you to sit here for a few breaths so you can allow yourself to ask what your heart wants from you.
Take a breath in,
Let it go,
And ask what your heart wants.
Sometimes the answers are going to come,
Sometimes they're not.
If you don't know,
That's okay.
See if you can feel what comes up for you.
Keep breathing.
And you want to run,
Come back here often and show up longer than the breath before.
Come back to your heart often because it knows who you are in case you forgot.
And while acceptance might make you feel lost,
It might be a bit strange,
If you can connect to the power of your breath and listen to your heart and find the courage to sit with these feelings a little longer each day,
You can find wisdom from your wounds.
Most of them will have value in their meaning if you're willing to release your past and move forward with your heart.
This is how you create the life that you're worthy of.
When you connect with these parts of yourself,
You can easily see and feel where you are not aligned with your heart and where you do not allow yourself to come forward.
So each day,
Hold yourself here just a little longer so you never abandon yourself again.
Thanks for listening to my poem,
The Creator,
And sitting here today.
You're good work,
And I'll see you around.
