We have the capacity to experience a degree of inner peace,
To create it in ways that we perhaps didn't realize were possible.
And it's through the Buddhist practice of loving kindness,
Of constantly infusing our being with ease,
With gentleness,
With compassion.
With kindness,
With peace,
Which sounds like such a soft way to live.
But as Julia Cameron,
The author of The Artist's Way says,
Treating ourselves like a precious object will make us strong.
And it's so true because when we're easeful and gentle and kind and compassionate towards ourselves,
Then the old resistance to emotions and life and all of the old patterns that we used to get caught up in start to fall away and we start to abide in a state of peace and ease.
And then this inner world of peace and presence it becomes our new reality.
And we start to reclaim a tremendous degree of power because we're not lost in fighting life and resisting it,
But we're staying here gently in a state of ease and peace.
We can create peace.
We just have to want to.
