In this mantra meditation,
We will be working with our voices to create sound and specific sound vibrations that are activated by these words.
And the vibration of these words are going to create certain patterns.
And they'll activate certain memories inside each cell of our being.
And so today we'll be exploring the Tara mantra.
Tara being the goddess of compassion.
And so as we repeat these words,
This sacred mantra,
We are activating the memory of compassion within each cell of our being,
Within each thought,
Each emotion and each memory.
We'll be working with the Tara mantra and so the words for this are Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Swaha.
Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Swaha.
Traditionally,
These mantras are repeated a variation of 108 times.
108 being an auspicious number,
A special sacred number that carries a lot of potency.
And so today in this meditation,
We will be repeating this mantra out loud,
A variation of 108 times.
I will feel into it,
But most likely it will be two or three times 108.
And my invitation for you is to say these words out loud along with me.
As we pick up the pace,
The speed is going to become faster and what is slow at the beginning becomes faster.
And I invite you to really surrender into its sound.
Don't worry about whether you trip up on the words or if you mess up or make a mistake,
That's absolutely fine.
It's just a way of rhythmically entering into a different vibrational state of consciousness.
So we'll be going through alpha into theta and possibly deeper as we entrain our consciousness with the vibration of compassion.
And then once we stop saying the mantra out loud,
The invitation is for it to continue to flow round and round in your head.
And we'll repeat it in our heads another two or three times 108.
Don't worry about counting.
We'll just be flowing with it in our mind,
Allowing it to enter deeper into our subconscious.
When the meditation is ended,
I will chime the tinctures.
And at this point,
You are welcome to stay in your meditation for as long as you would like.
You are equally welcome to close the meditation for yourself.
And so I invite you to find your comfortable seat.
If you are sitting on a chair lengthen through your spine,
Engaging your core,
Finding strength and stability,
As well as a loose sense of flexibility.
So you are engaged but not rigid.
If you're on the ground,
I encourage you to lift your hips so that your shins are touching the earth.
This will avoid from putting excess pressure on your knees,
Which will prevent it from going numb.
So once you've found your comfortable seat,
Start to close down your eyes unless you are looking at the words of the mantra in front of you.
Start to connect with your breath.
We will begin here to connect with our breath,
Preparing ourselves for this mantra meditation.
Take a deep inhale and exhale,
Sighing out through the mouth.
Inhaling once again into the belly and exhale,
Sighing out through the mouth.
One more large inhale,
Really expanding into your being and exhaling,
Softening,
Releasing.
We will start with the repetition of the mantra.
