Right,
So finding your seat,
Relaxing your eyes,
Be sure that you're sitting comfortably,
And to the best of your ability,
See if you can sit with an aligned spine to find that perfect point of balance.
You can sway back and forth as well,
Side to side,
Until you find your ideal seat.
Feel your body settle.
Now,
Take a few slow breaths.
And let go of any attempt to control your breath.
Let it move in and out naturally.
Allow each breath to take its own shape in its own time.
Allow yourself to relax and let go of any tension or stress.
Surrender to the breath.
Connect to the sense of relaxed alertness.
This is a gratitude meditation that will help cultivate the feeling of gratitude.
Let's set this intention for an open and gentle feeling of thankfulness for all that is good in your life,
For the gift of life itself.
Go at your own pace and include anything else that comes to mind.
Now,
Let your awareness move to your body.
Our body is a gift for which we can harvest and cultivate tremendous gratitude.
First,
Let's give thanks for our senses.
Thank you,
Eyes,
For my vision,
For revealing the brilliance of the world around me.
I'm grateful for the gift of sight.
Thank you,
Ears,
For my hearing,
For the sounds of the voices of others,
Sounds of nature,
Blowing wind,
Singing birds,
The ability to hear music.
I'm grateful for the gift of hearing.
Thank you,
Nose,
For my sense of smell,
For the scent of a beautiful flower.
For the scent of a delicious meal.
I am grateful for the gift of smell.
Thank you,
Tongue,
For the gift of taste.
I offer thanks for the ability to enjoy all delicious taste.
Thank you,
Mouth,
For the ability to speak and sing.
I am thankful for the gift of communication.
Thank you,
Skin,
For containing all my essential parts,
As well as the ability to sense touch and feel the world.
Thank you,
Hands,
For the ability to touch and hold and feed,
And for all the ways that my hands nourish and nurture my body.
Thank you,
Feet,
For the gift of movement,
For taking me everywhere that I go.
Thank you,
Lungs,
For the gift of breathing,
The capacity to receive nourishing oxygen and release CO2 from my body.
Thank you to all the organs of digestion,
Stomach,
Pancreas,
Liver,
And bowel.
I'm grateful for the ability to digest and release.
Thank you,
Kidneys,
For fluid and waste regulation,
For keeping my body hydrated and cleansed.
Thank you,
Muscles,
For my strength to move and recline.
Thank you,
Nerves,
For communicating all of my body's needs to my brain and sending information from my brain back to my body.
Thank you,
Bones,
For supporting my structure and giving my body form.
Thank you,
Brain,
For all the thoughts that keep my life moving.
Thank you,
Heart,
For the capacity to love and be loved.
And finally,
Rest in the reflection that life is a precious gift.

Notice how it feels to rest in the glow of gratitude.
Remember,
Gratitude is a magnet for goodness.
