Let's explore a balancing meditation.
This is a standing meditation practice.
You can stay seated if you wish or stand now with me.
Standing up,
Finding your feet centered under your hips.
Soft knees.
Ground firmly into your feet.
Sense your connection with your body on the earth.
Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly.
Close your eyes and take some slow,
Deep breaths.
Feel the movement of your hands on your heart and belly.
Deep breath in and out.
Two more times.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Now last one in and then out.
Focus your awareness at your forehead.
Allow yourself to feel the energy in your head.
All the swirling thinking that's going on there.
Connecting with the mind.
Imagine or pretend that you're breathing in and out through the center of your forehead.
Allow yourself to feel the mind and the energy in your head.
Let the thoughts circulate with the breath.
Release any mental tension or stress out with your breath.
Notice the energy of the mind and thoughts.
Slow down and relax.
Now let that energy start to drop down into the center of your chest.
Just allowing that energy to naturally ease and rest down into your heart where your hand is.
Take another deep breath into that space.
Imagine or pretend to breathe in and out from the center of your chest.
Welcoming the energy of the mind into your heart.
Allowing it to relax and rest.
Let the energy that is your mind and your heart drop down into your chest.
Drop down even further.
Resting and settling into the space of your belly,
The center of your being.
Gently falling into the cradle,
The center of your being.
Space right at the center of your abdomen.
Let's imagine the breath is flowing in and out through that space.
The mind resting in the heart and the heart resting in the belly.
Feel this alignment of the mind,
Heart and body.
This is the center of power.
Allow yourself to bring your full presence into that space,
The center of your being.
Take some more deep breaths into that space and really connect with the essence of your being.
Now let's take this moment and offer gratitude for this practice to yourself for showing up,
Being fully present in yourself.
Now allow the energy of your heart and mind to rise back up slowly into their proper places.
Feel your feet again on the ground.
Soft knees.
Feel the movement of your breath in your mind,
Heart and body.
Feeling the alignment and balance.
Let's take one last sweet breath and then opening your eyes.
