Find a comfortable seating position if you so choose.
If you need to stand,
That's just fine as well.
Allow the chair to care for you.
If you're comfortable closing your eyes or resting your gaze at just ahead of you,
Please do so.
I keep my eyes open during our time together,
Mostly watching the back door so that we're cared for in this space and that you feel safe and secure here.
As I manage our time together and unite our minds around our practice.
One,
Two,
And three.
Find your breath,
Wherever that is And begin to trace it.
Now begin to breathe.
And integrating your breath,
Appreciate the positive moments and the gifts you have today.
As you've imagined those positive moments and gifts you have today,
Center yourself now on God's grace,
God's presence,
God's providence.
God is with you.
Enter into yourself in God's presence.
God is as close to you as your breath.
God promises to never leave you.
This is God's grace.
This is God's providence,
Sustenance for your life's journey.
In the Ignatian way,
Centering ourselves on God's grace,
Even appreciating the gifts that we've received is a powerful beginning to how we connect and reconnect with our God.
As part of St.
Ignatius tradition,
He began to imagine how he could find himself in God's grace and God's presence daily,
And if he could in every moment.
So part of that tradition is review of your day,
But in our case,
It's review of our week.
So take just a few moments in this silence to review your week.
Those moments where you recognize self,
Other,
Even God.
Isn't that amazing?
