Hello,
Welcome to your five minutes of Cultivating Joy Meditation.
I invite you to find a comfortable position either sitting up or lying down.
Close your eyes and allow yourself to arrive in this moment and in this meditation.
Taking a couple of deep cleansing breaths,
Breathing in,
Holding at the top and breathing it all out.
One more time,
Breathing in deep into and releasing.
Letting go of any thoughts about the past or any worries about the future.
Begin softening and deepening your breath,
Following it in and following it out.
And as you're following your breath in and out,
I invite you to call to mind someone or something that you love with your whole heart.
This can be a person,
An animal,
An activity.
This can be a favorite vacation spot.
Feel the love for this thing,
This person,
This place,
This feeling of swelling in your chest and in your heart.
Placing all of your attention on this love and joy that you feel.
With each breath,
You'll feel it expanding.
Breathe it out,
Down your arms,
Into your fingertips.
Breathe this love down your hips,
Your legs,
Past your knees and all the way to your toes.
So that every cell in your body is vibrating and glowing with this beautiful energy of love and light.
Now I want you to spend some time in this energy in silence,
Soaking it all in and enjoying it.
Breathing in through this feeling,
Not worrying if thoughts come and go,
As long as you are still in this energy of love and joy.
Now I invite you to send this love to someone somewhere,
Knowing and trusting that they too can feel it.
Notice how it feels in your heart to send love and joy to other people.
And now I invite you to repeat after me.
I radiate love and joy everywhere I go.
One more time,
I radiate love and joy everywhere I go.
Really feeling this,
Believing this,
Embodying this.
You are a living expression of love and light.
And when you're ready I invite you to blink your eyes open,
Come back into your room and have a beautiful rest of your day.
