Hello.

Today we are going to focus on gratitude.

Let us start by taking three deep cleansing breaths.

There is no question that gratitude changes one's mind.

There is no question that focusing on gratitude allows us to find fulfillment in what is,

As opposed to dreaming about what we wish could be.

Gratitude breaks down the need for a future something.

It breaks down the ghosts and luggage we carry as we move forward through life.

Remember if your mind wanders,

That's okay,

Because that's what a mind does.

We can be grateful that our mind operates as it does.

Grateful for the rumination where we find ourselves at times.

Grateful.

Remember you can always return to your breath as the mind wants,

As it will.

Allow your focus to come back to breath.

There's no need to control your breathing.

Allow your breath to be natural and full.

Imagine your breath as you inhale,

Circulating throughout your body.

Let us find gratitude in taking this time together.

This time quiet.

This pause you may have given yourself.

I am grateful for your pause.

Grateful that you are here with me.

Grateful.

To feel the breath permeate throughout my body.

Grateful for life.

Oftentimes we can get hung up on the difficulties in life.

As though somehow these difficulties are non-essential to our growth.

We focus on the difficult.

Oftentimes forgetting to be grateful for the opportunities to grow,

To be challenged.

To push ourselves beyond comfort,

Inwards.

With a grateful heart.

Grateful that the universe deemed it necessary to be here.

To be human.

To be complex in our emotions and our thoughts.

Grateful to be a biological animal.

Grateful for a world that is perfect for our survival.

Grateful that through darkness light can be seen.

Grateful for the opportunity to be a part.

To be a part of a challenging human race.

Grateful for the millions of humans working right now to make this place better.

That through all the darkness there are millions of voices crying out to connect.

Reaching out to love.

To change.

To be wrong.

Grateful to be correctable,

To be teachable.

Grateful for measured expectations.

Grateful to let others live their lives.

Grateful to offer hands to those suffering.

Grateful when we find ourselves useful to our fellows.

Grateful for all the amazing humans connected to us all in this moment.

Grateful to wake up today as just one of 7.

5 billion people.

Grateful for all the helpers.

Grateful for all of the people standing up and speaking against injustice.

Grateful for change.

May bring to mind all that you are grateful for.

And as the faces and maybe things gather in your mind's eye.

Imagine all that had to happen for you to be here as you.

Imagine how unlike unlikely it all is.

For there is gratitude within those thoughts and ponderings.

Gratitude that you each were chosen.

Chosen to be here.

Chosen to be you.

Allow the picture in your mind's eye to grow.

Allow gratitude to permeate like oxygen through your body.

Allow your inhalation to be gratitude.

And to let go of whatever is clinging to you as you exhale.

Recognize wherever you are.

You have purpose here.

Your purpose is to be here.

To be you.

Maybe your purpose is something else.

Maybe you'll find that as you look through your gratitude.

As you allow gratitude to wash over and within you with every breath.

There is no need to fret about the future when living gratitude.

There is no need to live regretting the past in gratitude.

For today is all we have.

Hours stretched out in front of us as though we have an infinite amount of time.

Because we will always go on.

After the body fails and the mind energy continues to move.

May we be grateful for all of these things and people that make our life what it is today.

And there are some you may find difficult to be grateful.

The whole is going through things I could not imagine.

May you find something to connect to,

Someone to help you see the light through the dark.

May you find that person,

Even if that person is you.

I am grateful for your time,

For your energy,

And for your wisdom.

Grateful that all of you are experiencing this life,

Just like me.

May you be happy,

May you be healthy,

May you find your you.

And may that discover fill you with peace and gratitude.

And may we continue to encounter one another on our individual journey through the experience of living.

Thank you for your time.

As you start to feel your feeling of the room around you,

Maybe you can start to hear outside,

Inside the room.

As you come back to yourself,

May you be grateful for the time you've allowed.
