Namaste!

Welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.

I am Lori Albert.

So I found a quote by Wayne Dyer and it struck me like,

You know,

And I wanted to share it with you guys today.

It is,

This is him,

This is his quote,

Wayne Dyer's quote,

It is impossible for you to be angry and laugh at the same time.

Anger and laughter are mutually exclusive and you have the power to choose either.

We have the power.

That was me.

That part was me.

But you know,

Wayne Dyer,

First of all,

Got to love him.

I mean,

You know,

He was just such a sage and he left us with such jewels,

You know.

So I started thinking about this quote.

We have the power.

So here's my question to you then.

If you had to pick an emotion that you wanted to feel right now,

Right this minute,

What would it be?

Now,

Here's the deal.

Here's the deal with that.

Most people would say,

Well,

Of course I want to be happy.

I mean,

It's logical,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

But let's maybe dig a little deeper than that.

What do you really want to feel?

Like go deep in your heart.

Go deep inside yourself.

And what is it,

What emotion is it that you would want to feel?

Now that is a whole different question,

Right?

That is an entirely different question.

Do you want to feel peace in your life?

Are you feeling a lack of peace and you need that?

Do you want to feel compassion?

I mean,

You can feel,

Want to feel happy.

You can want to pick that,

Of course.

But you know,

I mean,

It's like within the masses,

We all just,

Oh,

I want to be happy.

But here's the thing.

You can choose happy over anger.

And it's sort of part of my theme that I've been talking about a lot lately is that,

You know,

We have a choice in any given moment as to how to deal with any situation.

When something arises and something comes at you right in your face right there,

You can choose to deal with it with love or you can choose to deal with it in a way of fear.

And that's the beauty of humanity,

Isn't it?

We get to choose that ourself,

You know,

And I'm not saying that there's,

I mean,

Yes,

There are times to get angry.

And I mean that.

And my own personal opinion here is,

Is that you can be angry and still come at something from a place of love.

It's possible.

I really,

Really think that.

Now,

Regarding Wayne Dyer's quote,

That's a little bit different.

Laughing and anger are definitely mutually exclusive.

You cannot like be really laughing.

I mean,

You can laugh out of sarcasm maybe,

But you know.

But we have a choice.

We have a choice as to what emotion we want to carry out at any given moment.

And sometimes it's harder than others to emanate whatever it is that you,

Whatever that emotion is that you want to,

That you want to have.

But we have that choice.

So today,

What do you choose?

What do you choose?

Today for me,

I'll just go ahead and tell you mine.

I choose contentment.

I guess I should say it that way.

I choose contentment today.

Because I've been feeling a little bit,

Ah,

Right?

So I choose contentment today.

What do you choose?

So we are going to meditate on this today.

Of course!

Right?

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

Oh boy.

Yeah.

Let's get ourselves comfortable in our chair,

However it is that you want to sit or lay,

Whatever.

And let's take a nice deep breath in through your nose,

Breathing really slow and deep.

Ah.

Perfect.

Very good.

Let's take one more long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

And release.

Ah.

Perfect.

So today,

Our mantra is this.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

What a beautiful affirmation.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

But before we begin,

Let's consider the gratitude that we have for things.

What are a few things that you are grateful for today?

Let's list them to ourselves.

Let's list them.

What are you grateful for?

I'm grateful for the cooler temperatures in my part of the country where I am.

It's been a little warm.

I'm grateful for the cooler temperatures.

And I've been out with human beings these last few days,

Masked of course.

So grateful for that.

I'm grateful that I get,

I get that I get to choose my emotion for the day,

For the moment.

I get to choose.

So what are you grateful for?

So our mantra for today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

And if you so choose,

You can change the word goodness to whatever the emotion is that you want.

I allow love to come to me today.

I allow contentment to come to me today.

I allow peace.

Whatever you choose.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

I allow all goodness to come to me today.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.

Let's take a nice deep breath in,

Breathing in that beautiful oxygen and goodness today.

And release.

And whenever you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

Awesome you guys,

That was great.

So as you go throughout your day today,

Know that you can take any emotion with you.

You can be however you choose to be.

I love that we are in control.

We can be.

We think that we give other people control of our emotions.

This person made me sad,

This person made me happy.

But we have the ability to control that ourselves.

So I wish you all to take that with you today.

Take whatever emotion that you meditated on with you throughout the rest of the day.

Right?

So thank you for joining.

And until next time,

Namaste everybody.

I love you all.

Bye.
