Today we're going to talk about arts.
The question of arts is does it have a spiritual channel or not?
Most people in the world have taken time to explore some kind of art.
Most would start so in school.
So,
You know,
During the different lessons.
You got a lot of art lessons.
All our arts have a connection with spirituality and religion.
In most countries it was religion that stimulated the growth of the different art forms.
This strong connection that leads to many interactions.
And most interestingly it is a fact that on its turn art did lead people to believe and gave them the direction of what and how they should believe.
Arts is often the core of every religion.
Even the believers wish to deny it and even explain the opposite.
To prove this point let me give you some examples.
As I'm Dutch I stay close to home first and slowly I will move around the world.
Christianity is completely shaped by the way how we look at Jesus.
According to all artists Jesus was a white male who had a specific body and act.
You never saw an overweighted Jesus or a black Jesus.
His behavior and surroundings is shown in multiple paintings,
Statues and other expressions.
Every Christian has an image of Jesus completely based on artists of the past.
They designed Jesus.
And now slowly evidence is coming to light that Jesus was a typical Middle Eastern looking person.
With a tented skin,
Dark eyes and facial features that does not resemble any of the artistic expressions.
This implies that the art was the core of the religion.
The expression of the artist's mind that shaped Christianity.
And it shaped the Christian belief.
It did it more than the Bible ever did.
Most Muslims think that religion is not led by art.
But there are so numerous expressions of art that has shaped the way people believe.
Look at every mosque.
The shape it is built was invented by an artistic expression.
The way the black stone is decorated.
Even the trials that is placed in every holy building.
And I can go on and on explaining how artists shaped even the Islamic religion.
Each piece expresses the devotion of the Islamic religion.
And anybody who has even little knowledge,
Recognize the design,
The patterns and the buildings in a single glance.
The Sufi have a close relation with the Islamic belief and developed the whirling davich dances.
Which combine the dance with the complete spiritual experience.
And then we move to India.
We arrive in a religion that is really completely shaped by artists to this all.
Every single temple is an artistic object.
The Hindu are the sample of complete spiritual expression of arts and the mind.
In Buddhism we see an interesting conflict between the original idea and the expression of the artist.
Buddha was against the expression of personal art forms such as a holy personality.
But locally these rules were ignored and a complete art form started to exist.
This Buddha art got worldwide the expression of peace,
Happiness and tranquility.
Buddhism did grow worldwide by just an image that was not approved by its founder.
Maybe we can even say that the founders of every religion would be surprised if they returned and see what happened to their original ideas.
It is not too much when I say that in fact all religions are shaped and partly created by the artist who made the expressions of it.
Artists live from inspiration.
And this inspiration comes from somewhere.
Out of something and cannot be guided.
It cannot be called up when you wish it and when you need it.
But you just have it.
It is something out of our hands and out of our power.
To get inspiration every artist must let go of the world.
It must leave everything and trust in what comes and let it flow out.
I like the dancing dervish.
We go around in a circle of moves from topic to topic,
Round to round.
And no matter what we must wait till the holy inspiration arrives.
People who follow my podcast know the theory of energy and our connection with the source.
Inspiration is a real call to reality.
That we are not just thinkable entities in the universe but that we are all connected and energy flows everywhere.
But it is not just sit and wait till the inspiration comes.
Not at all.
Good artists actively seek inspiration.
They go for a walk,
They do exercises,
They watch other artists,
Go to performances,
Use spiritual products,
Sometimes even abuse them.
Experience different mood factors and let it all come over them.
Getting inspiration is a lot of transpiration.
And expressing it delivers a fountain of energy.
Every artist knows that inspiration comes with a sheer unlimited level of energy.
It seems that you open a tap which keeps flowing the energy into your system.
Real inspiration is energy from a higher level.
A really stronger polarity.
A higher polarity allows the stored energy to flow down into our personal batteries and empower all what we do.
Many artists even can work without food or drink over a really longer period of time without any loss of energy.
Now we know that the artist of the past shaped our ideas of expression,
Belief and even our ideas of the future.
Where do we find the spiritual content of this all for our personal future?
The spiritual power is found in the inspiration every artist needs to have before any creation,
No matter what kind of art they perform.
Is inspiration only based on collecting information of others?
And you mix them together with your own personal expression?
Or is there something more?
And most artists will tell you there is more.
They did not get their ideas only from watching,
Collecting,
Thinking and trying.
There is more and even while they are experimenting with whatever art they are busy with,
There is still that uncertain factor of how they will finish and complete the art project.
Questioning the artist after the project is ready,
They all admit that the end result is not exactly what they wanted and they should have added or even changed part of it.
An artist is never completely satisfied of their end result and there is a reason for that.
When the energy of inspiration is flowing,
It is coming in with an enormous and uncontrollable power.
It feels like a wave of the sea that is just too high for us to oversee.
Inspiration is often more than the power we are able to put in the project.
That is what makes people real artists,
An unlimited resource of creative energy.
The artist is a collector of energy,
A channel and a director of energy.
To change this energy into expression from immaterial to material.
Even we only could hear or see it,
Like music and painting or dancing.
Artists create everything from the energy they receive and combine.
And they combine it with that knowledge of time,
The inspiration of the personality and again they combine it with the direction of what is needed and of course their speciality.
But what if you are not an artist?
Are you able to make use of this information?
But that is the good point.
In every person is an artist.
We are all able to create,
To find inspiration and make things happen.
And there is no exception.
To wake the artist in you is a matter of actively trying and experience.
Dare to try and see the results.
Open yourself up for that new energy.
And how do you do it?
Okay,
The first step is what do you like?
Are you a person that likes expressions like dancing,
Stage art or music?
Or maybe you like drawing,
Sketching or more practical designing things.
And everything can be made into a personal art.
Yes,
Everything.
Even the clothes you wear,
The house you live in and the sounds you hear.
Everything can become part of your personal art.
Your source of spiritual energy,
Your inspiration and hopefully your transpiration.
Your first action is to generate the start of this unlimited spiritual energy to flow in.
By giving everything a personal touch.
Start with using your clothing.
Or how do you dance or move?
What do you write?
The way how you draw or paint things.
Give it a personal way.
Sing a song.
And so on.
Just personalize everything around you.
By personalizing everything you create energy and you build inspiration as you are changing the environment.
Oh,
Be aware.
You will get a lot of negative comments.
People will try to stop you from the new way by telling you it's useless and it leads to nothing.
And that's why they tell every artist.
And real artists often die poor and lonely.
As the creative mind is hardly understood.
So that's why we seek each other.
But we are living a better time now.
We are more connected and able to find like-minded people whenever they are in the world.
Inspiration for change can be found everywhere.
And that is when you start with your personal change.
You will start finding more connections and more energy.
Being an artist is a very personal expression.
Of what you represent.
And not always who you are as a person.
The energy of inspiration can let you do things that are not genuinely like you.
And like you want to be.
You used to be.
Creative energy is not just human.
It's spiritual and all around you.
Your inspiration comes from the most uncommon angles.
And when you let it flow,
It changes your life completely.
Artistic energy is a channel that connects you with what is really spiritual.
I will hear you again.

I thank you so much for this. It was a lovely reminder that art is found everywhere and our artistic spirit lives and thrives within us and radiates out into the world outside us. Art makes the world a better place.
