In today's lesson,

We'll explore resistance,

Where it comes from,

And how to take action through the do,

Be,

Have framework to dissolve this resistance.

And lastly,

I'll guide you through an affirmations practice to support you to take inspired action against this resistance.

Beliefs shape our thoughts,

Which then drive our actions,

And our resulting emotions,

As well as our reality.

And resistance arises from self-limiting beliefs,

Which may be contributing to your relationship with overwhelm.

For example,

You might feel overwhelmed often because you're taking care of someone else and you have limited time to spend on your career and for self-care.

You might think,

I have to care for this person because it's my responsibility and this person can't manage anything by themselves.

And because of this belief,

You feel guilty if you spend time on yourself or your career.

So you devote all of your time caring for this person,

And you end up feeling overwhelmed caring for this person,

And energetically exhausted and behind on your career.

Another example,

You might feel overwhelmed because you feel like you're behind on all the things for your career and your work.

You're looking at other people in the same field as you and thinking,

Who am I to teach?

Who am I to lead?

And you struggle with the feeling of fear of failure,

Self-criticism,

Or even imposter syndrome.

And it's stopping you from taking action and moving forward with your tasks.

So you end up procrastinating on your tasks.

You shy away from being visible,

And you hide your voice.

And this in turn affects your career performance and also your own well-being.

If we stay in this loop,

We keep doing the same thing over and over again,

While hoping for a different result,

Nothing will change.

But we can disrupt this flow by following the Do,

Be,

Have framework that you learned from the earlier lesson,

And engaging in the highest leverage activities,

For example energy generating activities or time generating activities.

By taking these actions in alignment with how you want to feel,

You reverse engineer the energetic system,

And you create a positive counter-loop.

Now at first,

There will likely be a lot of resistance,

Because you're going against your conditioned beliefs,

Thoughts,

And habitual behaviours.

Your reality may not change right away,

Your beliefs may not shift immediately,

But change is already unfolding.

Let's now do a simple affirmation and tapping practice to empower you to persevere through this resistance and change.

First,

Let's get comfortable.

Come into a comfortable seated position.

As you exhale,

Relax your shoulders and your arms down,

Letting your hands rest on your lap.

As you inhale,

Let your spine grow upwards towards the heavens,

Towards the sky.

Feel the spaciousness between your shoulders and your ears.

To begin,

Let's take a deep breath in through your nose,

And long breath out through your nose.

Again,

Breathing in,

And breathing out.

One last time on your own,

Following your own rhythm.

Now allowing your breath to remain a steady,

Slow rhythm,

Use the fingers of your dominant hand and begin to gently tap on your breastbone.

Follow your own pace and let this tapping flow into a steady rhythm.

As you continue tapping,

Let your intention be to tap away any resistance,

Anxiety,

Fear,

And self-limiting beliefs so that you can move from fear,

Anxiety,

Uncertainty into a place of self-confidence,

Self-love,

Empowerment,

And alignment with who you want to be and how you want to feel.

As you continue tapping,

Listen to the sound of my voice speaking these affirmations.

Even though I'm feeling nervous,

I'm gonna do this anyway.

Even though I feel guilty,

I've got this,

I can do this.

Even though I'm feeling scared,

I keep going.

Now,

We'll say it aloud together,

Repeat after me for the next five times.

Even though I'm feeling nervous,

I'm gonna do this anyway.

Even though I feel guilty,

I've got this,

I can do this.

Even though I'm feeling scared,

I keep going.

Even though I'm feeling nervous,

I'm gonna do this anyway.

Even though I feel guilty,

I've got this,

I can do this.

Even though I'm feeling scared,

I keep going.

Even though I'm feeling nervous,

I'm gonna do this anyway.

Even though I feel guilty,

I've got this,

I can do this.

Even though I'm feeling scared,

I keep going.

Even though I'm feeling nervous,

I'm gonna do this anyway.

Even though I feel guilty,

I've got this,

I can do this.

Even though I'm feeling scared,

I keep going.

Even though I'm feeling nervous,

I'm gonna do this anyway.

Even though I feel guilty,

I've got this,

I can do this.

Even though I'm feeling scared,

I keep going.

Gently let the tapping slowly come into a stop and rest your palm on your chest.

Let your other hand rest on top of your palm that's on your chest and let's take three deep breaths in and out together here.

Deep breath in and long breath out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Last one,

Breathing in and breathing out.

When you're feeling ready,

Gently and slowly drawing your awareness back to the here and now remembering that at any point of time when you face resistance,

You can come back to this tapping and these affirmations to restore spaciousness,

Love,
