I want to invite you to come into a comfortable,

Seated or lying down position.

Whatever position makes you feel safe and held.

Whatever position makes you feel that you are here and you have arrived.

It doesn't have to be perfect.

Your spine doesn't have to be completely upright.

You don't have to worry about how you look.

Let yourself feel held by the ground or the chair or the surface underneath you as you exhale.

And then when you breathe out,

Let yourself settle in and drop into your physical body.

This is the most tangible aspect of your being.

Also the most imperfect and yet the most beautiful.

Because it is with this body,

Your vessel,

That you can go about doing what it is you do.

Exploring the world,

Creating,

Dancing,

Walking,

Writing,

Drawing,

Whatever that is.

And then with your next exhale,

Allow your awareness to drop even deeper.

And if it feels good for you,

Let your eyes half or fully close.

And tune in to the ebb and flow of your breath.

Earlier on,

One of our friends shared in the chat that maybe your relationship with your inner critic also ebbs and flows.

And it is a continuous practice.

And feel it very much like your breath coming in and out.

Inhale energizing you and exhale soothing and calming you.

Every inhale you feel your breath every inhale you feel the wave rise and peak.

Every exhale it begins to settle a contraction.

And then with your next exhale,

If your eyes are still open,

If it feels good,

You can let your eyes half or fully close.

As you let your eyes half or fully close,

Guiding your awareness inwards and noticing that beyond your physical body,

Beyond the ebb and flow of your breath,

There is the part of you that's hearing the sound of my voice,

That is noticing that these sounds translate into words,

That these sounds translate into words,

And that these words,

When put in a specific order,

Form a sentence or phrase.

And that these words or this phrase has a meaning.

And this meaning you understand because you have mental models that you can map on to past experiences that you can relate to based on what I am guiding you through.

Notice that part of you and connect with that part of you.

And in this space of awareness,

This consciousness inside of you,

Take a moment to notice if your inner critic is here.

Can you sense or feel the presence of your inner critic now?

If the answer is yes,

Could you acknowledge your inner critic?

Acknowledge the presence of your inner critic without having to engage or interact with it.

Noticing your inner critic or critics.

As you acknowledge if your inner critic is here,

Noticing that you are taking the seat of the observer and that the inner critic is separate from you.

It is not you.

With your next exhale,

Allow your awareness to drop even deeper.

Here we reach the layer of what is called your intuitive layer.

This is the place where you feel deep intuitions.

Sometimes we call it a gut feeling or heartfelt feeling,

A deep knowing.

A sense of knowing without being able to explain how or why and perhaps without needing a logical explanation.

Sense and feel yourself in this part of you,

Connected with this knowing.

And then with your next exhale,

Let yourself drop even deeper into the center and the core of you,

In the heart of who you are.

Beneath all these layers,

You are of the divine.

You are pure energy,

Pure spirit,

Pure potential,

Pure bliss.

You are being.

Here in this part of you,

There's nothing to prove.

There's nothing to do.

What there is,

Is to experience.

To experience this beautiful nature of you.

With your next inhale,

Feel that from this deep inner core of you.

Feel it fill to the brim and saturate the center of you as if there is a well in your heart and your heart begins to overflow as you exhale.

Every inhale,

You connect with the center.

Every exhale,

You feel this overflow and trickle outwards.

Inhaling,

Feeling and filling the well of your heart and exhale,

Letting it overflow.

Letting it overflow and as it continues to overflow over the next few breaths,

Let it overflow into the layer of your intuitive layer of your deep knowing.

Let it overflow into your consciousness layer where you are processing and hearing the sound of my voice,

Where you are acknowledging the presence of your inner critic.

And as it overflows into the layer where the inner critic is,

Feel this pure bliss,

Pure spirit and essence begin to touch and alchemize the inner critic.

There's nothing you need to do for this to happen.

You are this overflow.

This overflow is happening.

The alchemization is unfolding.

See and feel this transform your inner critic and your relationship with your inner critic.

As you exhale,

Continue to let this overflow spread further out into the part of you that ebbs and flows.

And then with your next inhale,

Let it expand and as you exhale,

Let it overflow even more so it fills all the little spaces inside your physical body where a reminder of this is needed.

As you continue breathing in and out,

Feeling this bliss,

Feeling this pure energy,

Pure presence,

Saturate your consciousness,

Saturate your being.

Feel it as your state.

Feel it as who you are.

And now from this state,

We will begin to harness the inner critic.

If and when you feel ready,

I invite you to turn towards the inner critic that has been alchemized by this pure energy,

By this pure being,

By this pure state that is you.

Speak to your inner critic and ask your inner critic for support support as you begin to prepare to embark on reviewing or refining something you've been holding back from doing.

This could be a piece of writing that you have stopped working on or that you've been hesitating on doing.

It could be an artwork,

It could be a part of the house that you've been not wanting to look at.

Whatever that is that you know you really want to work on that's important to you but you've been holding back from doing because of this fear of failure,

Because of this perfectionism.

Ask your inner critic for support.

Ask that they support you in the way you would like to receive the support using the tone and conveying the message clearly in a way that supports you in a tone of voice that is helpful for you.

And you are very welcome to stay as long as you wish in dialogue with your inner critic.

If this is the first time you are in dialogue with your inner critic,

Just as you would imagine if you're having a first conversation with someone who could be difficult,

It will probably not be an easy one.

So be kind to yourself and also be kind to this conversation,

To whatever is unfolding in this moment.
