This is a practice of the six Qigong healing sounds for emotional balance.
You can do this practice either lying down,
Sitting with a straight spine or standing with your feet about shoulder width apart.
And just take one hand onto your navel and one hand onto your chest for wave breathing.
As you take a deep breath into your belly,
Let the breath rise up into your chest and then breathe out from the chest,
Down the ribs and out the belly.
Breathing in through your nose,
All the way up into the chest and breathing out,
All the way out of the belly.
Just continuing to take a few more deep breaths,
Feeling the energy rise up like a wave and descend back down.
Now we're going to add the first sound for the lungs and the element of metal.
The sound is ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss like a snake.
We're going to inhale,
Breathing into the belly,
All the way up into the chest and as you exhale making the sound sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss and inhaling through the nose and exhaling with the sound ssssssssssssssssssssssss.
One more time,
Deep inhalation and exhaling.
Next we're going to make the sound for the kidneys and the water element.
The sound is choo.
Breathing deeply and exhaling the sound.
Choo.
C-H-O-O.
And again inhale and exhale.
One more time,
Breathing all the way up into your chest,
Exhaling.
Continuing now with the sound for the liver and the wood element.
The sound is shhh.
Inhaling into your belly,
All the way up into your chest,
Exhaling with the sound.
Shhh.
Deep inhalation and soft exhalation.
Shhh.
And one more time.
Inhale through the nose and exhale.
Shhh.
Continuing with the next sound,
Which is for the heart and for the fire element.
We're going to inhale through the nose and exhale.
Ha.
H-A-A as a whisper and again.
Ha.
And one more time,
Deep inhalation and exhale with the sound.
Ha.
Our next sound is for the spleen,
For the earth element.
W-H-O-O.
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling.
Ha.
Letting the sound come from the back of your throat.
Inhale.
Exhale.
And one more time.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Our last sound is triple warmer sound.
H-E-E.
This is for overall emotional balance.
Inhale through the nose and exhale.
Shhh.
Smiling and making the sound through your teeth and again.
Shhh.
One more time.
Deep inhalation.
Exhale with the sound.
Shhh.
Now just resting your arms down by your sides or in your lap if you're sitting and just breathe and feel the energy moving in your body,
Feeling more spacious,
More open.
The effects of these healing sounds bringing a lightness,
Bringing a joy which bubbles up from deep within yourself.
Taking another nice deep breath in.
And exhale.
