One of the things I remember from three mandatory colour-theory courses from art school is that there are three primary colours and all the colours between them are secondary colours. Colours are all around us. The officially recognized colours are found from the spectrum. Red is often said to be the colour of life because blood is red. Red is the colour of passion, fire and energy. Yellow is connected to optimism, summer, sun, childhood, inner child and friendship. English expression once in a blue moon refers to an event that is very rare.

Colors are something that evoke emotion.

They are a language of its own and can create happiness,

Peace,

Restlessness and energy.

Colors are rooted into our personal experiences,

All the way from childhood,

In ways that are still a mystery in a lot of ways.

Famous artist Claude Monet used to say that colors were his obsession,

His joy,

But also his suffering,

Because for an artist it was not always easy to choose the best color combination,

Not even when you were considered to be one of the best.

It is difficult to define what kind of influence different colors and color combinations have to different individuals,

Because we are all different,

And our taste in colors are very personal.

Despite all of this,

Many studies have been made about which colors are the most popular and what kind of colors people like the most.

Our environment is filled with color codes,

That we learn to interpretate from our early childhood.

These colors give us messages very fast without any words.

They give us information,

For example,

In traffic,

Mailboxes,

Warning signs,

Airplanes and fire extinguishers.

Colors stimulate our brains in multiple different ways.

The ancient Egyptians and Chinese believed that it was possible to use colors in order to control people's moods and even encourage them in time of troubles.

Artist Vasili Kadinsky has said,

Colors have direct influence on our souls.

Colors are like a keyboard,

Eyes are the hands,

The soul is the piano,

Artist is the hand,

Who plays and touches one keyboard consistently to make the soul vibrate.

The element of red is fire,

Gemini and Aries are connected to the color red.

Red gives warning signs from the coming danger.

Red is the color of eroticism and passion.

This is why in several cities you can find street of the red lanterns.

War and love are often connected together.

It is not a coincidence that the color red is connected to both Qubit and the Christian devil.

In politics,

Color red usually refers to non-conformist groups.

Red is the color of love,

I'll connect it to Valentine's day.

The color of Valentine's day is a red heart.

In the language of flowers,

The red rose represents everlasting love.

Red is connected to courage and bravery.

In Harry Potter books,

Colors of Gryffindor are red and gold.

Color red symbolizes confidence.

If you want to get noticed,

Wear red clothes with pride.

It is often used in love magic and women's healing spells that are related to the menstrual cycle.

Red is one of the most sacred colors in India and it has many meanings.

Beauty and seduction.

In South Africa,

Color red symbolizes mourning and in China,

Red is the color of the new year and represents long life.

Yellow The element of yellow is fire.

Red is the sun,

Which is not really a planet.

A day of the week is Wednesday and horoscope signs connected to yellow are Taurus,

Libra,

Archer and Pisces.

Yellow is connected to optimism,

Childhood,

Inner child and friendship.

Bright yellow is the color of getting attention.

Combination of yellow and black is often used in warning signals.

Black and yellow is one of the easiest color combinations to see from long distances.

This is why taxis and school buses are painted with yellow and black.

Can cause a great deal of stress for people.

This is why many don't feel good about staying long time periods in places that are painted with yellow and red.

This kind of color psychology is often used in fast food restaurants.

Blue is calming and healing color.

It represents peace,

Sensitivity and the dream world.

Blue is the color of both sky and the sea and is connected to open spaces.

Color blue can have positive effects on our body and our mind.

It can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and reduce the stress levels.

There are different shades of blue.

Indigo blue is connected to consciousness and is used to decorate meditative spaces.

Blue can be a very strong color.

It is used to symbolize sincerity and heraldry.

In many cultures,

Blue is an important color in religious rituals.

In Hinduism,

Blue is the color of Krishna,

One of the most beloved Hindu gods,

Who embodies love and happiness.
