Good morning and welcome to this moment of stillness before your day begins.

Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Let yourself settle into the present moment,

Allowing the outside world to pause for just a little while.

Our quote for the day is by Henry Nouwen,

Joy does not simply happen to us,

We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day.

Joy is not something we wait for,

It's something we cultivate from within.

This morning let's invite joy into our hearts,

Setting the tone for a day filled with lightness,

Gratitude and possibility.

Close your eyes if you haven't already and take another slow deep breath.

Imagine a golden light of joy beginning to glow in the centre of your chest.

It starts as a soft gentle warmth and with each inhale it expands,

Filling your entire body with a sense of happiness and ease.

Now,

Visualise yourself moving through your day,

Feeling joyful.

See yourself smiling effortlessly,

Feeling light and at peace.

Maybe you're enjoying a quiet moment with your morning tea,

Laughing with someone you love or experiencing a moment of unexpected kindness.

Let yourself fully immerse in this feeling,

Joy is already here within you.

Allow this sense of happiness to settle into your body.

How does joy feel in your heart?

In your posture?

In the way you move?

Gently bring a small smile to your face,

Even if it's just a soft one.

Feel the shift as joy becomes something you embody,

Not just something you seek.

Now let's recite our affirmations to integrate this feeling.

Repeat after me.

Joy is always available to me,

In every moment.

I choose to welcome happiness into my day.

My heart is open to laughter,

Love and lightness.

I carry joy within me and I share it with the world.
