Let's begin by getting into a comfortable position.
Start to relax your body and soften into this space.
Close your eyes and make any adjustments you need to settle into a comfortable space.
Take one big breath in and exhale out.
Falling deeper into relaxation as you allow your breathing to flow now in its normal rhythm.
Let your eyes get heavier.
Unclench your jaw and relax your cheeks.
Lower your shoulders.
Relax your arms and your hands.
Soften your stomach.
And feel your legs and feet get heavier and melt into a deeper relaxation.
Feel your body here,
Whole,
Relaxed and present.
Now I want you to imagine there is a child nestled deep within your core.
The little you or the child within.
Observe your child for a few seconds.
Looking at their hair,
Body,
Eyes.
Noticing their position,
Attitude,
Expressions.
Take it all in,
This vision of your inner child.
This child shares the same feelings and emotions as you.
This child is a part of you,
The undeveloped part of you.
You may not yet be able to see the child and if so that's okay.
But you may instinctively sense their presence within.
How old is this inner child?
What is this inner child asking of you?
What does your inner child need the most?
I want you to imagine a giant cloud on one side of your inner child.
A dark,
Scary,
Smoky cloud.
As you look closer at it,
You realise what is inside.
Sadness,
Pain,
Hurt and fear.
So many dark memories inside of this cloud.
Maybe you're seeing within the cloud flashes of dark memories.
Many movies from your childhood.
Or maybe you're simply seeing the emotions floating within it and feeling their heaviness.
The disappointment,
Rejection,
Fear or longing.
This amazing little child within created stories about each one of those memories or emotions.
Maybe even creating a story called I'm not good enough.
Or I'm not worthy enough.
Or I don't matter.
Or I can't trust others.
Or I can't have everything I want.
Your inner child is not wrong for doing this.
It's what all of us do.
But there are stories within that are not allowing you to live as vibrantly as you could.
So take a deep,
Cleansing breath in.
And as you exhale,
Release the heaviness of these stories.
And then reach out to this little child.
And embrace her in your arms.
Holding her close with love,
Pure love.
And watch as that dark,
Smoky cloud diminishes,
Little by little.
Hold her.
Love her.
Accept her.
Keep her safe.
And watch the stories evaporate away.
Now take a step back and observe your inner child again.
This beautiful little you.
Now imagine a big,
Bright,
Yellow sun and a full blue sky appearing on the other side.
When you look,
You see that this sun is filled with laughter,
Creativity,
Dreams and love.
Perhaps you're seeing within it flashes of those happy memories or mini movies from your childhood.
Or maybe you're simply seeing the emotions floating within it and feeling their lightness.
The joy,
Fun and imagination.
Sit back and witness it all right in front of your very eyes.
Feel a smile spread across your face.
This is all yours.
And the doorway to inviting in more of it in your current life.
More joy,
More love,
More creativity.
Is through this special inner child.
Turn your attention from this bright sunshine onto your child within.
See how she lights up.
See how her smile comes from her soul.
Remember how much she loved to play and dance and imagine.
She is here with you.
Ready to create more memories of joy.
Now stretch your arms out and embrace this wonderful little you.
And feel this pure love saturate you,
Reminding you that you are her and she is you.
Bring your attention back to your breathing.
Feeling the hum of peace and calm all over your body.
You are so loved.
