Grand Rising,

Good morning,

Good morning,

Grand Rising.

Today we're going to discuss relationships.

And before we do,

Let's open the space,

The portal,

With a few moments of silence.

Thank you,

Spirit.

Thank you for waking me today.

For all those tuning in,

Thank you for waking them,

Their loved ones,

Their children,

Their parents,

Their spouse,

Their partners.

Knowing that those individuals that did not wake today,

You are with not only them as they have transitioned,

But you are with their loved ones that are still here,

Overwhelming them,

Consuming them,

And washing over them with peace.

The peace that surpasses the logical mind,

The local mind,

The meaning-making machine mind.

So grateful in this moment to know that you are God,

And that you are peace,

And that in you peace is always found.

Coming on here this morning wanting to talk about relationships,

Not specifically romantic relationships,

All relationships.

First and foremost,

There's a book that I highly recommend that everyone reads.

It's called The Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz.

It's a beautiful,

Brilliant book,

Absolutely brilliant,

A very easy read,

And I'm just so grateful that that book has come across my path.

So that is my book suggestion for the day.

So getting into the topic of relationships,

The preface of the book is that you are responsible for a hundred percent of your half of any relationship,

Whether that's a business relationship,

A romantic relationship,

A friendship,

Something with your parents,

Your children,

Your spouse.

You are only responsible for a hundred percent of your half.

You cannot do one iota of an inkling of anyone else's part.

You can only do your part.

And so often because of experiences in our childhood,

Because of the ways in which we've communicated our feelings and emotions and have been rejected,

We tend to overcompensate.

We tend to overcompensate.

We do our half and we want to do someone else's.

Or we are not fully open and available to listening to what someone has to say.

When you love someone,

When you truly,

Truly love someone,

It is your duty and obligation to listen.

Not just listen with your ears,

But listen with your heart.

Listen so that that person knows that you are listening.

Listen with intention and listen without the want or the need to respond.

Just simply listen.

Because just as you want to express yourself and you want to be seen and heard and understood,

So does that other person.

So I'm grateful for the lessons and the experiences in my life thus far that have brought me to this point.

Last night I was having a conversation with someone that I love very dearly and she expressed to me the many times that she communicated with me and that I didn't fully listen,

Which I absolutely acknowledge.

And what I have learned,

What I have come to understand is that my head and my heart were not aligned.

My mind was in a place of fear and my mind wouldn't allow my heart to do and feel what it wanted to do.

So when I was in my heart,

I was in a place of fear and my mind was in a place of fear.

So no matter what the dynamic of the relationship,

Again if it's a romantic relationship,

If it's with your parents,

Your children,

You are responsible for your half.

You cannot do their half.

You cannot do their part.

It is your duty and obligation to communicate your thoughts,

Your feelings,

Your wants,

Your needs,

And that those individuals may not understand and that's okay.

That's okay.

But what's important is that you do your part because at some point,

Maybe it might not be in the time frame that you want it to be,

They will come to understand.

They will come to a place of listening without wanting to respond.

So often the ego wants to yell and scream or be right or just be the center of attention and so we have to peel back those layers.

One of the things I said last night in the conversation that I was having is that I had to come to a place of resolve.

I had to come to a place of an inner standing within myself.

It couldn't be told to me.

It wasn't something that could just be expressed.

It was something that I had to experience in my heart,

In my soul,

And even in my mind.

And so as you hear the subtle noises in the background of the local farmers selling their product,

I'm grateful.

Grateful in this moment.

So I encourage you,

Whatever your experience is with relationships and communication,

To keep going,

To get quiet,

To have a meditation practice so that you can really sit with what it is that you're trying to convey and that when someone is coming to you and wanting to express themselves that you're open,

That you're receptive,

And that you're available.

So with that being said,

Just wanted to speak on relationships briefly.

I'm not going to go into a whole long expression.

Hopefully this resonates with you and I know that whatever it is that you're facing in regards to relationships and communication,

I know that spirit is awakening your heart,

Awakening your soul,

Expressing and communicating with you in the language of your own heart.

So with that being said,

Let's go ahead and gently close our eyes as we go into prayer.

So very grateful spirit for this now moment,

For the sun that is peeking through the clouds.

So very grateful that I have the opportunity to experience today,

This never before day,

That I have breath in my lungs,

That you are the breath of life,

That my heart is beating.

So grateful for the sounds of the birds.

So grateful to be able to bear witness to Zen and NT playing,

Just being free,

Not having a care in the world,

Being free,

Loving,

Playing,

Jumping about,

Scratching their paws on the logs.

God,

I'm grateful.

I'm grateful for my brother Tremon and the morning hug that I received.

Grateful for the bed that I woke up in,

The shelter that we've been provided.

Grateful for the electricity that keeps our food fresh in the fridge.

Spirit,

I recognize that you are the only ingredient in all spaces and places,

In all relationships,

In every single conversation.

There is not a space or place that you are not.

You are omnipresent,

Always present,

Omni-active,

Always active God.

There's a saying that says,

Don't tell God about your big problems,

Tell your big problems about your big God.

God is infinite,

God is eternal,

God is perfection,

God is absolution.

And I'm so grateful to recognize this presence and power in my life.

And because I recognize this presence and power in my life,

I recognize it in yours.

No matter what you may be facing,

No matter what challenges are being presented to you in your life,

Everything here is a gift,

Here to teach you,

To guide you,

To grow you,

To stretch you.

So I'm grateful to be in this observation knowing that I and each and every one of us are unified in this presence,

Unified in this one consciousness.

God,

I love you and I thank you.

And I realize that you make yourself accessible to us.

We don't have to be or say or act or do a certain thing or be a certain way.

There's no amount of accolades or degrees that makes us any more worthy of your love.

All of us are sharing in your love.

All of us are chosen.

And so I give thanks.

I give thanks for all of this and so much more.

I give thanks for the flowers,

The dew upon the grass,

The clouds,

The mountains,

The soil,

The fields,

The trees,

The trees,

The trees,

The trees,

The trees,

The soil,

The fields.

I give thanks.

Releasing this prayer without a shadow of a doubt,

Knowing that God is God and always will be.

Releasing this prayer by saying,

And so it is and so be it.

Thank you,

Great divine spirit.

I love you.

I honor you.

And there is not a space or place where I will not speak about you.

I pay homage to you in all aspects and areas of my life.

So thank you.

Thank you for radically awakening something in me as you continuously do.

Giving us all a gentle reminder that where each of us are,

Love is present in its fullness.

I love you family.

Have a beautiful day.

I fully agree and say often that each of us is fully responsible for their unique half of a relationship. I cannot change someoneโ€™s heart or idea about how that relationship should be for them. This gives me the ability to create my own space and authenticate my own feelings of love. Thank you for sharing this important life lesson. ๐Ÿ™
