Welcome to Take A5,

A collection of short 5-minute meditations dedicated to create a brief yet meaningful pause in your day.

Give yourself this gift of rest,

Resilience,

Renewal,

And presence whenever you need it most.

Let's begin by taking a gentle breath in through the nose.

And let it fall out naturally.

Feel yourself arriving here,

Leaving the day behind,

Letting your thoughts begin to loosen their grip.

Imagine your mind as a snow globe that has been shaken all day long.

Thoughts swirling,

Emotions shifting,

Everything stirring all at once.

And with each successive inhale in softly through the nose,

And exhaling through the mouth,

The snow globe begins to clear.

Now bringing your awareness to the space behind your forehead,

The place where thoughts tend to gather.

And imagine a warm hand resting there,

Soothing,

Calming,

Quieting.

Let the breath travel there.

Let that space soften.

With your next inhale in,

A gentle wave rises.

And with your exhale,

That wave washes away the leftover noise of this day.

Continue breathing in that fashion,

A slow tide smoothing the mind.

If a thought appears,

Acknowledge it briefly.

Thank it for arriving,

And then let it drift away like a feather falling through the air.

And now taking this opportunity to repeat softly to yourself,

My mind is allowed to rest.

My mind is allowed to rest.

Allowing your breath to deepen just a little,

And feel the body sinking into the support beneath you.

As if gravity is carrying some of the weight you no longer need to hold.

And together,

Let's take one last calming breath in deep in the nose,

And a slow,

Complete breath out.

Your mind has unwound.

Your body is deserving and ready for rest.
