Let's begin by taking a deep breath in through the nose and gently sighing it out.
And begin by feeling the points of contact your body has with the ground.
Maybe your feet,
Your hips,
Hands,
Or your back.
Whatever is touching the earth,
Notice it.
Taking another deep,
Grounding inhale in and exhaling fully.
Visualize roots growing from these points of contact.
Roots traveling down through the floor,
Through the earth.
Deep,
Strong,
Unwavering.
With each successive inhale,
Drawing up stability,
Nourishment,
And calm through these roots.
And with each exhale,
Releasing tension,
Worry,
Or unease down into the earth where it is absorbed and transformed.
Allowing the roots to anchor you more deeply.
Feeling the strength and steadiness of the earth moving into your body.
Now bringing your awareness to your spine.
Imagine it as the trunk of a tree.
Strong,
Flexible,
And supported by the ground beneath.
Letting your breath continue to flow in and out like wind rustling leaves above.
Notice the calm presence that grows with each cycle.
And now taking this opportunity to repeat softly.
I am grounded.
I am supported.
I am steady.
I am supported.
I am steady.
And together with me,
Let's take one final deep inhale in.
And exhaling fully.
Feeling your connection to the earth remaining with you.
