All those worries,
Those anxieties,
Those fears,
Can you hear them there,
Whispering inside your head,
Cluttering up the space,
Preventing you from meditating,
From sleeping,
From concentrating,
From being at peace.
All those worries,
Those anxieties,
Those fears.
Let's find a place to leave them,
To put them aside just for a while,
So that you are free to drift into space,
Into a place of ease,
Of peace and stillness.
See them now,
All those worries,
Those anxieties,
Those fears.
See them as colours,
As shapes or patterns in your mind,
In your body.
Focus on them.
Gather them into a gentle stream and let them flow into one of your hands.
See them gather there in the palm of your hand.
Just hold them there for a moment,
While you picture in your mind's eye a shelf.
Any kind of shelf,
About head high.
In easy reach on the shelf,
Sitting in a beam of light,
Is a glass jar and a lid.
The jar is crystal clear.
Now,
Let all those worries,
Those anxieties and fears flow from your hand into the jar.
When they're all inside,
Put the lid on the jar.
They'll be safe there.
You can see them in the light,
Waiting,
In the light,
Leaving them there in the light.
Diffusing in the light,
Clearing in the light,
Becoming smaller in the light as you drift,
Drift,
Drift away.
Feel yourself drifting into the music,
Into a peaceful landscape of calmness and peace,
Of space,
Free,
Drifting,
Floating,
Free.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light,
Waiting in the light while you drift,
Relaxed at ease,
Still in peace.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light,
Floating in the light.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light.
That jar,
So small in the distance,
In the light.
Can you see it there,
In the distance,
In the light,
So small,
That jar still waiting as you return now,
Closer and closer.
You may be surprised to find that the contents of the jar have changed in the light,
Cleared in the light,
Reduced in the light,
And perhaps even disappeared in the light.
As you bring yourself back,
Back,
Collect those you want to keep,
Really want to keep,
As you bring yourself back,
Back to this time and this place.
And remember,
The jar is there any time you need to take a break from all those worries,
Those anxieties and fears.
Namaste.
