If we let it,
The essence of a story can weave its way into our unconscious mind and create positive changes.
So now,
Sit back and enjoy a story.
Just enjoy it,
Without trying to analyse it and let it weave its magic.
Anna and the Star On the last Saturday of the month,
Anna and her family supported the local craft and produce market.
Today was busier than usual.
A crowd of children and adults was gathered around a new stall.
A large banner decorated with stars hung over the stall.
Anna squeezed herself in closer.
The stall was filled with stars of all colours and sizes.
Bold and vibrant,
Small and intense,
Loud and soft.
They shimmered and moved within the space.
At the front of the stall was a sign that said,
Choose your star.
Business was hectic,
The stars were selling fast.
Anna studied them carefully.
Each star had a word emblazoned on it.
Subtitling,
Jubilation,
Success,
Euphoria,
Prosperity,
Wellbeing,
Power,
Grandeur,
Bliss,
Ecstasy,
Enjoyment,
Paradise,
Delight,
Passion and many,
Many more.
A star smaller than the rest caught Anna's eye.
It seemed to twinkle at her.
The prettiest star of all.
It disappeared.
She blinked.
The star reappeared in a different spot and then disappeared again.
Reappearing in another spot.
As if it was playing a game with her.
It's elusive,
Isn't it?
Anna realised that the stall owner,
Who reminded her of her grandmother,
Had spoken.
She nodded.
If you can catch it,
It's yours.
The stall owner's voice was soft and kind.
Anna tried and tried.
But each time she was close to catching the star,
It disappeared.
She stopped.
Stood still.
And waited.
In silence.
In that moment,
An amazing thing happened.
As Anna watched new stars appear.
The stars of appreciation.
Thankfulness.
Peace.
Stillness.
Love.
Thoughtfulness.
And kindness.
They moved into alignment.
Instantly images of her loved ones.
Her home.
Her family.
Pets and friends.
Her belongings.
Her planet and every part of it.
And her future drifted through her mind.
The aligned stars formed a circle.
And a small star appeared at its centre.
It twinkled brightly.
Beautiful,
Soft pastel shades of light.
Anna breathed a sigh of delight.
She reached forward and gently picked it up and sat it in the palm of her hand.
It was so light.
So soft.
A calmness and relaxation flowed over her.
Silence wrapped itself around her and from deep within.
A strange sensation.
Like minute warm bubbles of energy.
Lightly rising and expanding.
Spread throughout her body.
She was filled with a feeling of complete contentment and peace.
That all was right in her world.
It was magical.
She wanted to stay there forever.
She closed her hand over the star and looked up at the stall owner.
May I have this star please?
She whispered.
I choose the star of happiness.
The stall owner smiled and nodded.
Remember,
She said.
It's elusive.
And it can easily disappear and will not return to shine upon you.
Unless the stars of appreciation,
Thankfulness,
Peace,
Stillness,
Love,
Thoughtfulness and kindness are in alignment.
