The 17-Second Manifesting Game
by Lauri Albert
It is said that if you hold a single thought for 17 seconds, you reach the combustion point at which manifestation becomes a reality. Let’s explore all the possibilities in our lives! Life is a game...we just need to learn how to play it effectively!

Namaste everybody.
Welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.
Today we're going to talk about a subject that I just love to talk about.
I love talking about manifesting.
Manifestation.
I love talking about Abraham and Esther Hicks.
Oh my gosh.
So much fun.
Now,
Abraham,
If you're not familiar,
Is a channeled group of entities,
Okay,
From the non-physical,
Obviously,
And they are channeled by Esther Hicks.
And Esther travels all,
Well she did till the virus hit,
I guess,
But she travels all over the place and she talks.
They talk through her,
Right,
Within,
And they talk about the law of attraction.
And they talk about how to manifest your life,
Right.
And it's really cool if you've never been there to see one of their,
One of their,
I don't know what you call it,
One of their sit downs,
I guess you could say.
It's really amazing because people sit in what she calls the hot seat and they ask,
You know,
People,
Audience people will ask Abraham questions about what it's like on the other side and what it should be,
What should happen like here.
Like they may have a question about the coronavirus.
And so she would answer that.
And it's really,
Really amazing.
But it's all centered around the law of attraction and manifesting,
Right.
So that's what I wanted to talk about today because I love talking about manifesting because it's a simple concept,
Right.
But it's difficult.
It can be a little difficult to do.
Yeah.
And people get frustrated really easily regarding it because you think,
Oh,
Well,
That's easy.
I'll just do it this way or whatever,
You know,
And I'll just do it and it'll be,
We'll get it.
It's fine.
One of the things that Abraham talks about is,
Is that instant,
Instant manifesting doesn't exactly happen,
Which is good,
Right.
So at any rate,
I'm not going to get into the whole logistics of that because what I really want to talk about today is the 17 second game,
Right.
I don't even know if they call it a game.
I call it a game,
Right.
Because you have to make it fun,
Number one,
Because if you don't make manifesting fun then don't even bother,
Right.
Because it's a fun thing.
Yes,
It can be a little frustrating because you screw it up or whatever,
But it's,
It's fun.
Life should be fun if it's nothing else,
Right.
So what you do in this 17 second game is that you,
The reason why they call it 17 seconds,
Number one,
Is because Abraham talks about how 17,
It takes 17 seconds of thinking that absolute pure thought,
Okay.
17 seconds of thinking that pure thought of something that you want.
And at the 17 second point is the combustion point,
Which I just love that.
It's like a good,
You know,
I love that,
Right.
So basically at the 17 second point,
It combusts and it starts to become the reality,
Okay.
And,
But here's the thing,
It's easy,
But yet it's difficult.
Like I said,
Okay.
Thinking of something you want for 17 seconds without allowing your head to your thoughts,
You know,
Those icky thoughts,
Those doubtful thoughts to come in your head can be challenging,
Right.
So what you want to do is 17 seconds of pure,
Happy thoughts about whatever it is.
Now I've told this story before about my convertible,
But I'm going to tell it again because it's,
It's perfect for this game.
I had wanted a white convertible muscle car type thing for a long time and it didn't happen and I was like,
Whatever,
You know.
Well,
I ended up one day,
I was,
I remembered the 17 second game and I thought,
You know what,
I'm going to do that.
I was driving down the freeway in my other car and my old car,
I guess I should call it now.
I was driving down the road and I thought,
You know what,
I'm going to act as though,
Because they talk about this,
Act as though I already have it.
Now what does that mean?
Because how do you act as though somebody,
Or as if you already have something?
It's kind of difficult to do,
Right,
Because you don't have it.
But if you pretend in your mind,
And so I put down all the windows in my car and I was driving down the road going,
Yeah,
They're checking out my car because I got the muscle car,
You know,
And I had the wind blowing and I was like loving life and my vibration went really high because I was thinking it was so exciting.
Yep.
And within a short period of time,
It didn't happen instantaneously.
I didn't get a free car because it doesn't exactly work that way.
Okay.
This is still our lives,
Right?
But the ball was in motion.
And every time I would drive,
Well almost every time I would drive down the freeway,
I would put down my windows and I would pretend,
You know,
That I had my convertible.
And guess what?
I have the convertible now.
It wasn't like it just dropped in front of me.
It doesn't work exactly like that.
You know,
You can't just say,
I mean,
Maybe it does.
If you can learn to manifest that,
Then so be it and you go for it,
You know,
Kind of thing.
However,
For me,
That was the way it needed to work out.
Yes,
I paid for it.
It wasn't free,
You know.
We got a great deal on it.
And I've got my white convertible Mustang.
And I love it.
And every time,
Almost every time I get in there,
I think,
I manifested this.
Right?
So,
But here's the thing.
You have to keep going.
You can't just give up.
You can't just give up on the 17 seconds.
You go a few times a day on 17 seconds.
Or if you're really feeling good,
You go 34 seconds.
That's double.
Right?
But like I said,
You have to,
You have to think of it in terms of positive stuff.
You can't allow those icky thoughts that come into those doubtful thoughts to come into play.
Okay?
So what we're going to do is we're going to do 17 seconds of manifesting and we're going to play the 17 second game.
Okay?
Now,
What I'm going to do is I want you right now to start thinking of something you want to manifest.
It could be big.
You could play big or you could play small.
Doesn't matter.
Right?
When I leave the house and I'm going to the mall,
Which I really hate going to the mall,
But,
And I want a parking space,
That's the easiest thing for me to manifest.
I'll think,
Oh my God,
I'm going to pull right up front and I'm going to do,
I'm going to pull right up front.
There's going to be a spot right there.
And,
Um,
Yep.
And if,
If it's not there,
See,
This is the tricky part.
You can't think of,
Oh,
If it's not there,
Because then you start going into the negative part,
Right?
You should think,
Okay,
So I'm going to pull up,
I'm going to get in there.
I'm going to get in my stuff.
I'm going to come out and I'm going to make sure that somebody else has this great parking space whenever I leave.
Right.
Okay.
So think about what it is that you want to manifest.
Let's think about that.
Okay.
So if you have something,
I will count the time.
Okay.
I will count the time and I want you to,
To tell me or not tell me,
But I want you to think about as many awesome things that if you had that thing,
If I had that Mustang,
Just start spouting off the really great things.
Why you have it,
How you have it,
What it looks like,
What color is it,
How do you feel when you're in it?
Okay.
So start spouting that off.
Okay.
So I'm going to keep the time on that.
17 seconds.
Right.
How hard can this be?
Right.
I know.
So,
Okay,
Here you go.
All right.
So we're going to start.
So start thinking right now.
Okay.
Okay.
That's 17 seconds.
So right.
17 seconds feels like forever when you're trying to control your thoughts,
But that's all it takes.
That's all it takes.
Do you want to feel good?
That's a hard one to manifest because there's so much negativity about dis-ease.
So much negativity surrounding that hard one.
But do you want to feel good?
So you do the 17 seconds and then you do it several times throughout the day,
Continually throughout the day.
I have arthritis and it makes,
Sometimes it makes it difficult to walk,
To be honest with you.
But what happens is,
Is that I am starting on that train of positive thinking.
Right.
So for 17 seconds,
Seven times,
Seven,
Several times a day,
That's what I want to do.
I imagine myself running or I imagine myself feeling so amazing.
I don't know.
You know,
Whatever it is,
Whatever it works,
Whatever it is for you.
Okay.
So now let's get into our meditation.
We're doing a short meditation today,
But it's going to be very impactful.
Okay.
So let's close our eyes.
Let's take a nice deep breath in.
Relax our bodies.
Breathe in and release.
Awesome.
Very good.
We want to keep our bodies nice and relaxed.
This is your one time throughout the day that is solely for you.
So our mantra today is actually going to be an affirmation.
So I should say our affirmation for today is this.
Everything always works out perfectly for me.
Everything always works out perfectly for me.
It may feel like you're fudging that a little bit,
But if you keep saying it,
It becomes the reality.
Right?
It becomes the reality.
Everything always works out perfectly for me.
So let's sit quietly.
I will keep the time.
If you lose the affirmation or mantra,
That's absolutely okay.
Just come back and focus on your breath.
And let's begin.
Everything always works out perfectly for me.
Everything always works out perfectly for me.
Everything always works out perfectly for me.
Everything always works out perfectly for me.
