This is a guided loving-kindness practice which, when done regularly, enhances the capacity to feel love and kindness towards ourself and others (even those with whom we have a more challenging relationship). There have been many scientifically documented benefits of loving- kindness meditation including decreased pain, slower aging, increased empathy and compassion, decreased bias towards others, curbed self-criticism, increased positive emotions and decreased negative emotions (among others). This practice has been shown to be effective even in small doses and to have a lasting impact. So please find a quiet, comfortable place to settle in, get started and enjoy.
