Welcome to this evening tapping meditation designed to help you slow down and ground in the evening.
We're going to use EFT tapping to release your day,
Quieten your racing mind and relax the body.
So getting comfortable now,
Start tapping on the side of the hand,
Also known as the karate chop point,
Repeating after me either out loud or in your mind.
Even though I've had such a big day,
I'm feeling really unsettled,
Like I just can't let go of the day and relax,
But I acknowledge how I feel now and I choose to love and accept myself.
Even though my mind is racing,
I'm constantly thinking about the day behind me and the day ahead.
I acknowledge this mind chatter with love now and I'm open to feeling more present.
Even though I feel overly switched on,
Wired and wide awake,
I know I need to rest but it feels like there's so much to do.
I choose now to take a moment to slow down and I love and accept myself.
Taking the hands now to the top of the head,
Tapping gently on the crown,
Repeating after me,
This racing mind,
This busy day.
Eyebrow point,
There's been so much going on,
So many things to think about.
Side of eye,
I feel wired,
Like I can't quite relax.
Under the eye,
My brain always feels this busy,
Sometimes it's hard for me to sleep and get some rest.
Under the nose,
All of these thoughts racing through my head.
Under the mouth,
All this resistance I feel to letting go of the busy day I've had.
Collarbone point,
What happens if I stop thinking?
What if I forget something important?
I choose to slow down now.
I allow my mind and body to soften this evening.
Moving to under the arm,
It is safe for me to turn down the dial on all of this noise.
Low ribs,
I am releasing all of these thoughts now.
I know that I can pick things up tomorrow,
But for now,
I'm slowing down.
Take a moment here to take a quick breath in,
Check in with how you're feeling before we do another round of tapping.
Maybe stretch your neck from side to side,
Raise your arms above your head and have a big stretch.
Moving now to the top of the head,
I acknowledge now any tension in my body.
Any part of my body where I'm holding on to the day.
Eyebrow point,
All of this tension in my body.
Side of eye,
Any pain in my body from the day I've had.
Under the eye,
Maybe it's safe to relax the body.
Under the nose,
To soften my shoulders,
My neck and my back.
Under the mouth and any other areas of my body that are holding on here.
Moving to the collarbone point,
Close down the eyes for a moment and take a really deep breath in here.
Notice any area of your body that is holding tension.
Can you say out loud how you feel in your body tonight in your own words?
Are you tight in your shoulders?
Do you have a headache or tired feet?
Keep tapping on the collarbone as you focus on this body type,
Bringing your attention and your breath to this part of your body.
Moving to under the arm now,
I acknowledge how my body feels tonight.
It's safe for me to let this go.
Lower ribs,
I am choosing now to soften and relax,
To let the tension and pain melt away.
Good,
Pausing for a moment here,
Again taking a moment to stretch,
To shake out the arms or whatever feels good for you.
Moving back to the top of the head,
Repeating after me,
I'm feeling into any high energy,
Any remaining stress I'm holding on to.
Eyebrow point,
Some nights it's hard for me to settle.
Side of the eye,
I just can't get to sleep.
Under the eye,
But I've released all of my racing thoughts now.
Under the nose,
I've softened and relaxed my body.
Under the mouth,
So I'm choosing now to feel more grounded.
Collarbone,
I release any remaining tension,
Any lingering thoughts.
Under the arm,
I'm starting to feel sleepy and I'm feeling ready to rest.
Lower ribs,
I slow things right down now.
Beautiful,
Drop the hands,
Take a really deep breath in,
Noticing any shift or sensation in the body and you should hopefully be feeling more relaxed and ready to ease into your evening or rest.
Let's set an intention now to have a deep,
Nurturing sleep and ground the tension and with some more tapping.
Moving now to the top of the head,
I'm choosing now to release any remaining stress or worry from my day.
Eyebrow point,
Instead I am choosing to feel grounded and relaxed.
Side of the eye,
I feel relaxed in my body.
Under the eye,
My mind feels calm and quiet.
Under the nose,
I have unravelled the day,
I'm ready to rest.
Under the mouth,
It is safe for me to settle now.
Collarbone,
I know that when I lay my head down for sleep,
Rest will come easily.
And I am setting the intention now to have a deep and nurturing sleep.
Under the arm,
So that I can wake up feeling refreshed and energised.
Onto the lower ribs,
I'm feeling so grounded,
Relaxed and calm.
I have released the day.
Beautiful.
Dropping the hands,
Taking another moment,
Perhaps placing your hands on your heart.
Noticing how much more relaxed and grounded you're feeling,
Ready for a beautiful sleep.
Thanks so much for tapping with me.
Remember that you can use this meditation anytime you feel you need to ground in and relax.
Have a beautiful sleep and rest.
