Welcome to this EFT tapping meditation designed to help you quit comparing yourself to others or to an idealized version of yourself so that you can refocus on your own strengths,
Joy and the path that you're ready to walk down.
In this meditation we will focus on clearing the energies of anxiety,
Frustration,
Exhaustion and disappointment,
And in its place we'll be calling in feelings of peace,
Joy and confidence.
Before we begin,
I suggest that you take some time to note down where comparison is showing up for you right now.
Are you stuck in a spiral,
Looking outwards,
Or are you fixated on all the things you should be doing,
Feeling or experiencing as the perfect version of yourself?
Ask yourself,
Who am I comparing myself to and what do I feel like I'm missing out on in my life right now?
What emotions are coming up for me and where do I feel these emotions or this sense of resistance in my body?
You can write these down or just answer in your mind's eye,
Staying present with the feeling of comparison and where it's showing up as we move through this practice.
When you're ready,
Let's begin.
Beginning with our setup statement,
On the side of the hand tapping gently,
Repeating after me.
Even though I've been feeling so stuck in this energy of comparison,
It's been making me feel anxious and overwhelmed.
And I feel this in my body.
But I acknowledge how I feel now and I choose to love and accept myself anyway.
Even though it feels like everyone else is further ahead.
I'm not where I was expecting myself to be.
And I've been feeling the weight of all the shoulds and it's really frustrating.
It makes me feel sad,
But I acknowledge how I feel now and I choose to love and accept myself.
Even though I keep comparing myself to others and to where I should be in my life.
Sometimes I feel like I don't measure up and it's so exhausting.
It can be really disappointing.
And I feel all of these emotions and feelings and this resistance in my body now.
I acknowledge where I've been comparing myself.
And I choose to love,
Honor and accept myself.
Good.
Moving to the top of the head,
The first tapping point.
Just take a quick deep breath in here.
And then again repeating after me.
All of this anxiety that I've been feeling.
Eyebrow point.
I can feel this anxiety in my body.
Side of the eye.
I've been comparing myself.
And I want you to say here who or what you've been comparing yourself to.
Under the eye.
It's been making me overthink and overanalyze.
Under the nose.
When I compare myself,
I feel this swell of anxiety and overwhelm.
Under the mouth.
I feel so overwhelmed and anxious and I feel this in my body.
Collarbone.
I feel like I'm in a downward spiral.
It's so draining.
And I'm feeling so heavy with the weight of this anxiety.
Take a deep breath in here and feel into anywhere you feel this anxiety in the body.
Maybe I can start to let this go.
Under the arm.
I've been feeling really behind comparing myself constantly.
And that's making me feel anxious.
Lower ribs.
But I'm acknowledging all of this anxiety,
Overwhelm and the fixation I've had on the external.
I've been holding on to these emotions in my body.
But maybe it's safe to let this go.
Good.
You can pause your tapping for a moment.
Take a breath.
Take a moment to check in with yourself.
How are you feeling?
Maybe if you've written down how you're feeling out of ten,
The emotions,
Maybe check in to see how that's going.
But otherwise,
Let's keep tapping whenever you're ready.
Moving back to the top of the head.
I'm feeling so frustrated with myself.
Eyebrow point.
I see what everyone else is doing and it just makes me feel so stuck.
Side of the eye.
I feel like there's so much work to do to catch up with everyone else and it makes me feel so exhausted.
Under the eye.
How am I ever going to catch up with everyone?
Under the nose.
I feel frustrated and stuck.
Under the mouth.
It's exhausting.
The thought of all the work I need to do to be like everyone else.
To be who I think I should be.
Onto the collarbone.
I feel all this frustration and fear in my body.
It's been keeping me stuck but I'm acknowledging it now.
Maybe I can begin to gently let this frustration go.
Under the arm.
I've been so stuck in comparison and it's made me feel so frustrated.
But I'm choosing now to soften this tension and to let this go.
Moving on to the lower ribs.
Take a really deep breath in here as you tap on this point.
Taking in a breath deep into the belly and letting it go with a big exhale.
Releasing this heavy feeling of frustration or stuckness.
Seeing if you can let go of this tension from your body with your breath.
Taking another breath in here.
And letting it go.
Checking in with yourself here.
Noticing if there's been anything shifting around the body.
Maybe some energies starting to move.
And just bringing that person or that version of yourself back to the front of your mind.
Who or what is it that you've been comparing yourself to?
As we continue to tap here.
Moving back to the top of the head.
Repeating after me.
Sometimes when I compare myself.
I feel this strong sense of sadness and disappointment.
Eyebrow point.
This sadness I feel because I'm so focused on all the things I'm not.
Side of the eye.
It's really disappointing.
Under the eye.
And sometimes I feel like I'm disappointing others.
I feel like I'm letting others down.
Under the nose.
And this sense of letting others down makes me feel this sadness.
This sadness I feel in my body.
Under the mouth.
All I can think is,
Is that I should be further ahead.
I should be doing better.
Collarbone.
But this comparison has me feeling stuck and hopeless.
And I feel this sadness in my body.
Under the arm.
I'm acknowledging all of this sadness and disappointment now.
Maybe I can start to lighten this load.
Lower ribs.
It is safe for me to process this sadness.
And to refocus on myself as I am right here,
Right now.
I can drop the hands,
Maybe shake them out a little bit.
Get that energy moving and shifting out of the body.
Roll the head around.
Roll the shoulders.
And then coming back to stillness and taking a really deep breath in here.
Feeling back into the body.
Noticing if you felt anything shift from where we started to where we are now.
I want you to check in with those feelings,
Those emotions,
Those thoughts that were coming up before we began this meditation.
If you still feel that they are quite high.
That there's more for you to clear.
I encourage you to rewind,
Go back,
Reset some of these rounds.
And see if you can lighten that load even further.
But if you are feeling more at peace and you're ready to ground into this new energy.
Let's keep tapping together.
Moving to the top of the head.
I'm choosing now to release any remaining anxiety,
Sadness,
Frustration or overwhelm.
Or any other emotions that were keeping me stuck in this pattern of comparison.
Eyebrow point.
Where I was feeling hopeless,
I now feel hope.
And I feel this deeply.
Side of the eye.
Where I was feeling exhausted,
I now feel energized.
And I feel this fresh energy lighting up every cell in my body.
Under the eye,
I am grounded in my own energy.
I feel more relaxed.
And from this space,
I feel a sense of clarity.
Under the nose.
Clarity that it is possible for me to stay in my own lane.
To be present with what is.
Under the mouth.
And from this place,
It is possible for me to feel confident and more at peace.
Collarbone point.
I am choosing joy.
And I'm releasing any remaining heaviness or frustration.
I am not behind.
I am not letting people down.
Everything is unfolding perfectly.
Under the arm.
I trust the timing of my life.
I trust that all I desire is coming my way.
Lower ribs.
I feel calm,
At peace and present.
I release the need to push,
Compare.
I am enough.
Beautiful.
You can drop the hands.
Close down the eyes.
Take a deep,
Deep,
Nourishing inhale here.
Exhaling with a big sigh out the mouth.
Take a moment to feel back into the body.
Notice if anything has shifted for you.
You are enough.
There is hope.
You are worthy.
You are on the right track.
You are safe,
Loved and guided.
As you breathe gently here,
Feel this in your body now.
And then gently place your hands on your heart and send yourself some love and gratitude for taking the time to release this pattern of comparison.
Whenever you are ready,
You can blink your open eyes and come back into this space.
And feel free to repeat this meditation anytime you feel yourself attached to the external or comparing yourself.
Every time you process these feelings and come back to yourself,
You are building more positive beliefs about who you are and what you are here to do.
Thank you for taking the time to clear these heavy emotions and raise your vibration with me.
Have a beautiful day.
