This podcast talks about life as an entrepreneur whether it is your full-time business or side hustle, I know that we all can relate. We go through times of imposter syndrome, fear and doubt. But we can manifest and affirm to create the life we want to have.

Hello everyone.

How are you all doing?

I know it's been a while.

I have been gearing up for my relaunch and my restock of my natural skincare line,

But welcome to Blissful Talks where we have raw authentic conversation and I just get to share things with you that may be on my heart or that I want to put out.

So I've been going back and forth on a few topics of what I wanted to talk about on my next Blissful Talk,

But today 9-7-2020 is the day of my restock.

I restocked four new items on my site and so I thought about talking about,

You know,

Business,

Like the woes of business.

It's up,

It's down,

It's amazing,

It's towering.

But it's business and so,

You know,

I want to be real and raw.

So when I first started my business,

You know,

I was providing services and then I moved to product-based that stayed aligned with who I am and what my company is.

And as I've been growing in business,

I have been like,

You know,

I got to level up.

I want to brand better,

I want to market better,

But everything is a step,

You know,

It's one foot in front of the other.

And I feel like a lot of times we can look at other businesses and other people and we can get imposter syndrome where we are like,

Oh my god,

They're doing so great.

Oh my god,

Look at their branding,

Look at their marketing,

Look at how much money they're bringing in,

Look at the comments,

The likes,

And it can create fear and doubt in us.

And I feel like I got into that space at one point of time where I begin to look at other people in business fields and then I became scared,

I became fearful,

I started to doubt myself.

My anxiety,

I can't wait to talk about that topic,

But anxiety got the best of me where I began to procrastinate or like really slow down and scale back in business.

And,

You know,

A lot of people may not talk about that in business,

They may talk about or show you only the highlight reels of the good things in business,

But let me tell you,

It's not easy,

You know.

I was talking to a friend yesterday about her business and she was saying,

You know,

The money that she has spent in business,

She hasn't been able to see a return or a profit yet.

And again,

We see everybody blowing up as entrepreneurs right now and we're seeing the great things that's happening and the amazing sales they're getting or products that they have,

But what we're not seeing is what's going on behind the scenes,

The late nights of putting things together,

The ordering of inventory to make sure that,

You know,

You don't always sell out because it's,

I mean,

Granted,

It's nice to sell out of a product,

But you want to also be able to keep products in stock to rotate,

To keep going,

You know,

And so we don't see how we have to,

You know,

Keep up with the books and if you're a one-woman army,

How draining and tough it can get,

But business is business and as I said here earlier today,

I said,

You know what,

This is my business.

I'm not even going to make other plans for anything else because this is going to work.

Like,

I have that much faith in me.

I bet on me that this business is going to work and I also have the mindset that I don't have to blow up in a year,

You know,

Steady and strong,

Steady and strong.

I'd rather give out quality products,

Really authentic work ethic,

Than to hurry up and push out things to seem as if I am the GOAT,

I mean,

As you want to call it,

But I love to see that how many women,

Black women,

Are flourishing right now in building a business for themselves and entrepreneurship.

I love it.

I feel like if you have that passion for something,

Go after it,

You know.

A lot of times we are afraid because we feel like someone won't support us or we're not as popular,

But like that meme said,

I don't want to be popular.

Sit me with the people that's getting paid and that's at peace and I really stand by that.

I don't need popularity.

I want to be paid and I want to be at peace and I want to really feel whole and fulfilled in what I do in my business and sometimes,

You know,

You can have people that's doing something because they think it's the new wave.

They think it's going to bring them money,

But after a while they get bored by it or they don't really see the sales or the support that they need and they quit and they give up,

But if you're really passionate about it,

If you've sat down,

You've manifested,

You've put in action,

You've wrote this down,

You've prayed over your business.

Let me take that back.

You've prayed over your business because you can't be out here making moves just in your own will and your own thought frame,

You know.

It has to have some kind of substance and direction and obedience and guidance.

When it comes to what you're doing because if you don't build on that,

Then you can easily break or fall,

You know.

So I challenge you that if you're not praying over your business every day to start,

If you're not writing down,

Manifesting,

Affirming,

Make sure that you're taking the proper direction.

I challenge you to do that and get some business besties around you.

I don't really have a lot of business besties around me,

But you know I am in groups where I like to connect and network with other people and inspire and be inspired because this is not easy,

But it's rewarding.

It feels good when you can do something and you can reap the rewards and you can see the benefits and you can impact somebody by,

You know,

Just what you do.

You never know who is watching you and sometimes I get appalled and surprised by messages I get like,

Man I'm so proud of you.

I love your work.

I love your marketing.

I've been receiving a lot of messages in the past three days and it feels so damn good because it's something I'm passionate about.

I hope to build more on business and I support you and your business or whatever it is that you do,

You know.

And another thing is a lot of people,

You know,

They feel like,

Oh now I got to be an entrepreneur.

I got to go full-time.

I can't work a nine-to-five.

You know,

Some people have looked down on the nine-to-five corporate jobs and I'm here to tell you I don't think anything gets wrong with a nine-to-five.

I am a full-time entrepreneur but I haven't always been and if you're nine-to-five,

Really create some stability in your life.

If it's something that you enjoy and love,

You don't have to give that up to also work on your passion,

Your creativity.

You can do both if you're able to maintain and balance if it's what you want to do.

So don't feel ashamed if you're still working a job because guess what?

You're able to have a steady income.

When you have business,

You have up days,

You have down days.

Some days you might not have no sales.

Sometimes your sales might,

You know,

Blow you out the water,

You know.

But it is an everyday job.

It is a 24.

I'm not going to say it's 24 hours but you are working on the clock,

You know.

Sometimes I'm up late at night working,

Sometimes I'm up early in the morning working,

Sometimes when I'm tired and I don't feel like it,

I'm still working.

And then some days I rest.

If I need rest,

I rest.

And I think that's another thing where you have to look busy.

Well,

I got cut off in the middle of this podcast.

Well,

Let's keep going.

And half of the things I've said is gone.

But I was stating that,

You know,

Some people make it seem like,

You know,

If I'm busy,

If I'm busy all the time,

Then I'm productive,

Then I'm producing results.

But I don't want to look busy all the time.

I'm sorry,

Y'all.

I am the queen of naps,

You know.

My soul has to rest.

I can't just,

I'm not going to sugarcoat like I'm busy all the time.

But yeah,

You know,

Business is amazing.

Stay aligned with who you are.

For me,

Sometimes in the field of wellness,

It can become difficult because many people like to look good on the outside,

But they don't take care of who they are on the inside.

So,

You know,

In the realm of the field that I'm in,

I always say that I help women feel beautiful or own their power inside and out.

Inside first.

Because if you're not working on your soul,

Your mind,

Your mental stability,

Your heart,

If your heart is not in the right place,

But on the outside,

You look fucking good.

You really still don't have any substance about yourself.

And I mean,

Take it how you want to take it.

That's me.

That's my opinion.

So,

You know,

I'd rather sit here and work on my mental and no,

By any means,

I'm not perfect.

I'm not,

You know,

The most friendliest,

Nicest person.

I'm not.

But my heart is pure and I work on myself from the inside a lot.

You know,

I do the shadow work of who I am and who I've been to people and,

You know,

Things that I've done.

So I like to,

You know,

I like to look good on the inside,

Baby,

Because if you're glowing from the inside,

It's gonna radiate on the outside.

And everything else that you do on the outside is just an enhancement to you.

Baby,

Let's glow.

Let's glow.

So again,

In my field of wellness,

Of meditation,

Of Reiki,

And then my natural skincare line,

That aligns to who Erica is.

You know,

That's me all day and I'm not gonna do things because I feel like it's popular.

Now,

If it's something that is there with my business and it's popular,

Then okay.

But just to say,

Hey,

I'm gonna bring this because everybody,

This is it.

But it doesn't even make me feel good.

I don't even really know about it.

It's not my thing.

No,

That's not me.

That's not me.

But I could go on and on and on.

I support you in business,

Ladies,

Men,

Whomever is listening.

Everything that you want is on the other side of fear.

And you can have what you want.

Manifest that shit.

It's here.

It's waiting for you.

Put it out into the universe and watch how it comes back to you.

Take that action,

No matter how afraid you are.

And so today,

If you have an idea,

Just write it down.

I'm sitting in front of you.

I'm sitting,

I'm not sitting in front of y'all.

I'm sitting in front of my pyrite crystal for prosperity and abundance as I speak to you all because I know that there are great things that are in store and I'm excited to have you all on this journey with me through my ups,

My downs,

My failures,

My mistakes,

My beautiful wealth and gratitude.
