Grounding is a beautiful practice that gives you the option to find stability,
Strength,
And calmness within yourself.
We tend to look externally for a beacon of light to show us the way when times are tough or uncertain,
But we forget that internally we too have a center of calm and stability within us always.
This practice is most amplified when your bare feet are planted onto the earth,
Whether that be grass or dirt,
With the added option of touching the palms to the earth as well if that feels right.
Do not worry if that is not an option for practice today.
Today's practice will show you one way to ground that can be done anywhere.
With that said,
I invite you to get into a comfortable position and allow the eyes to find a focal point or close completely.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale with a sigh out the mouth.
Inhaling,
One more time.
And exhaling out the mouth.
Allow the jaw to relax,
Into a neutral position as you continue taking deep nourishing breaths through the nose.
Give yourself permission to sink into the surface you are on.
Picture in your mind's eye a root growing from the base of your spine or the bottom of your feet into the earth,
Going through the flooring,
The cement,
Deeper and deeper into the earth.
With each inhale,
Drink in this nourishing life energy up the root,
Up into your spine and through your whole body.
And with each exhale,
I invite you to release any negative or stale energy that is built up within.
Inhaling,
Nourishing life energy.
Exhaling,
Releasing all the tension,
Negative energy or discomfort in the body.
Energy flowing in from the earth,
Energy flowing out and back into the universe.
Notice how your body and spirit feel the longer you replenish,
Your energy.
Make any adjustments you need to with where the energy is flowing.
If there's any particular areas of tension or discomfort,
Send the life energy to that area.
Release,
Release,
Release,
Release back into the universe.
When you feel like you have absorbed the energy you need,
Allow the root to slowly come back up all the way to where it originated from.
Thank you,
Mother Earth,
For always supporting us and giving us the gift of nourishment,
Both physically and mentally.
Thank you.
Take your time coming fully back into the space you are in.
Stretch or take a deep breath if that feels right.
And whenever you are ready,
You can open your eyes.
