If you struggle with anxious thoughts and feelings,
I wanted to share a story with you that helped me.
Feel and experience the mechanism.
Through which anxiety can arise.
So,
I was at a Vipassana meditation retreat.
This was in 2018.
2016-2015 in Chiang Mai,
Thailand at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep,
The temple in the mountain,
If you've ever been.
And it was a schedule-less four-day meditation retreat.
Like,
We would meet with the monk in the evening.
I'm trying to remember his name.
Ajahn something with a B.
And anyway,
We would otherwise just have time to meditate on our own.
Silent retreat.
And I remember one day I was doing a walking meditation,
Trying to do it as slowly as possible,
Which by the way,
I really recommend because we spend so much of our lives trying to do things quickly.
And doing it slowly is just.
Pretty great pattern breaker there.
And so I was doing this walking meditation and as I was just meditating,
Just breathing,
Just being,
This feeling of anxiety arose.
And.
.
.
It.
I watched it look around.
For something to attach itself to.
I watched this anxiety look for basically a reason to be anxious.
And what it came up with was,
Or what I came up with was,
You know,
Should I go to grad school or not?
And the feeling attached itself to that thought.
And it was really insightful for me because I was in,
You know,
That centered kind of meditative space.
I was able to see it and no,
It didn't end my anxious thoughts and feelings for forever until today,
But it really helped me see there's a little bit of tomfoolery going on.
Yes,
We need to feel our emotions.
Of course,
That's so much of what we do at our inner EFT sessions on my channel,
But Maybe they're a little bit more transparent than we thought.
Hope this helps you.
