Go ahead and find a comfortable position lying down with your legs stretched out long in front of you.
Once you've found a comfortable position,
Allow your eyes to flutter shut and let's begin by taking some long deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Breathing in and right back out,
Just start connecting with your breath,
Continuing to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Big congratulations to you taking this first step and exploring a new practice.
It really helps take care of you.
In this sleep session we will intentionally activate our nervous system slightly so that we can effectively invite it to rest after that.
So trust that if this feels a bit funny,
You are doing it perfectly and there will be that moment to shut it all down at the end of the session.
We'll be breathing along with music during this sleep session and you'll have my voice and the music guiding you.
But know that if at any point any part of the practice feels inaccessible for any reason,
You are always invited to drop into your own singular inhales and exhales.
Anyway,
There is no right way or wrong way to do this session,
So if you do fall asleep during the session,
That's wonderful.
If you don't,
That's totally okay too.
If it's comfortable for you,
You can draw one hand to your belly and one hand to your chest or you can gently rest your hands at your side and with your next out breath allow everything to just feeling the surface beneath you.
Starting to let the body just with every breath you take getting deeper,
Going deeper,
Flowing deeper.
And now go ahead and take a nice deep breath in through your nose and hold and then release a nice long exhale to move into that three part.
So can you please relax your jaw open and begin to breathe first into breathing,
Breathing into the belly,
Really taking relaxation as you continue to breathe.
Just rejoin to the belly.
Feels accessible to you to the belly to your natural inhale,
Noticing starting.
Can you just notice any sensations at the top breathing in that aware to your head,
Your face,
Your jaw,
Relaxing your tongue from the roof of your mouth,
Any sensation,
Any lingers in the sound,
Wishing you a restorative day.
