Sitting in a comfortable position,
Easy pose or feet hip width apart,
Grounding through the centre,
Lifting the perineum,
The sex organs,
The navel towards the back of the spine and then continuing to zip up the pole of the body,
Opening the heart centre,
Long in the back of the neck,
The chin slightly dipped,
And awareness brought to the third eye,
The brow centre and putting on your crown.
Placing the hands into gyan mudra,
Thumb and first finger together and then the rest of the fingers long,
Sending the arms down towards the earth,
Long straight arms,
No bend at the elbow but a slight softening,
Focusing your attention on the breath as we heal and open the root chakra.
Inhale deeply,
Connecting the two first fingers together and the thumbs together,
Creating the shape of the yoni mudra and then joining the rest of the fingers behind this shape from the knuckles to the fingernails,
Placing this shape in front of the sacral chakra and focusing the energy on this chakra,
On opening and balancing this sacred space.
Inhale and now placing the palms together into prayer,
Bringing the hands back down to the navel,
Placing the wrists at the navel and facing the fingers directly forwards in front of you,
Sending the energy out towards space and then placing the thumbs in a cross,
Right thumb first,
Left thumb second.
Breathing into the navel chakra,
Breathing into this space,
Focusing on the soft flow of your breath.
Inhale,
Releasing the crossed fingers and coming back to prayer,
This time bringing the prayer to the heart centre,
Placing the knuckles of the thumb into the little dip that you will find in your heart centre,
Pressing the heart,
Pressing the hands towards one another,
Circling the shoulders backwards,
Focusing this energy to the heart centre,
To the opening and balancing of the heart chakra and the soft and steady flow of breath.
Exhale and bring the hands away from the heart,
Fingertips facing up to the ceiling,
Wrists facing down towards the earth,
Placing the right thumb in the centre of the left hand and then wrapping the left fingers around that right thumb,
Keeping the right thumb facing up towards the ceiling and moving the rest of the hand accordingly so that the right thumb faces up,
The left fingers wrapping around that thumb.
Now we're going to join the left thumb,
Keeping it exactly where it is,
With the fingertips of the right hand,
So everything will be pointing up towards the ceiling to create a tulip shape.
Placing that hand in front of the throat and we're going to focus our attention on healing the throat chakra,
Slow steady breath,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Releasing the spine,
Bringing the hands back out in front of you,
Releasing the fingertips,
Placing all the fingertips together up to the ceiling again.
And then opening the wrist,
Still connecting the fingertips together,
Spreading the fingers out,
The right thumb is going to come down to face the earth,
Moving the wrist away from the hand and placing this shape in front of the third eye,
So our thumbs are connected,
Our first fingertips are connected,
Almost like a diamond shape.
Hakini mudra,
From the thumb to the little fingers,
Each fingertip connected,
Focusing the energy on the third eye,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Moving the mudra away from the head,
Placing the wrists together and we're going to create a flower with the fingers,
Spraying the fingers out,
Then joining the little fingers of both hands together and the thumb of both hands together to create the lotus mudra,
Opening the fingers,
Receiving the energy of the universe,
Placing this lotus mudra above the head,
Just in front of the crown center,
Focusing the energy on the crown.
Inhale,
Sending the lotus up towards the universe,
Receiving her energy and then tracing our aura,
Opening our arms,
Tracing the shape of a circle around the body and coming back to the beginning,
Gyan mudra,
Placing the thumb and first finger together and long in the rest of the fingers,
Energy down towards the earth.
