Allow yourself to arrive.
Taking just a few moments to bring your attention and awareness into the weight and shape and container of your body.
And for this practice,
I'm going to invite you to be upright in some way,
Whether you're standing or seated.
You can have support as much as you need.
And bring your attention into.
The verticality of you.
So you might drop your awareness down,
Down through your pelvis,
Down through your legs,
Into your feet.
And feel the connection that you make through gravity into the earth.
As you continue to feel your connection down into the earth.
Gently bring your attention back up.
Into your center.
Wherever your center might be today,
It might drop into your belly.
It might feel like it's somewhere else,
Your solar plexus or your heart.
Coming back into center and feeling the roots below.
And then slowly rising up through the vertical sense of you up through your spine,
Your head,
And out the crown of your head in connection to the vast cosmos.
Your connection to star.
And vastness.
Staying aware of that connection coming back down into your center and feeling that full vertical presence of you between earth and sky.
Between the imminent and the transcendent.
Feeling your length.
Feeling your dignity.
That as you move through the journey of your life,
You get to tap in.
To your dignity and the gift of being here in your unique.
Experience.
Coming back into center,
I'm going to invite you to gently come over to your left side.
Just feeling your left side.
You might feel the left side of your face,
Your neck,
Your shoulder,
Your arm,
The left side of your ribs and hip,
The outside of your leg,
All the way down to the outside of your ankle and little toe.
Just feeling the left side and beyond,
Just to the outside of your body.
Coming back through the center line,
The center space,
And then over to the right side.
Not just the fullness of the right side of your body,
But over to the edge,
The outside,
The meeting place,
Side of your face,
Your shoulder.
Your arm,
The outside of your ribs and hip and leg,
All the way down to your ankle and little toe on the right side.
Feeling the lateral capacity of your awareness,
So from center out to the sides.
And you might sense if you had.
Any beings.
That feel supportive.
Maybe they're human.
Maybe they're more than human.
Kind of just sitting shoulder to shoulder with you on either side.
You might feel yourself,
Just the broadness of you.
And you might also imagine a circle,
A circle of beings that you are a part of.
You are connected with inherently.
In your width of being,
You are part of a larger.
Community.
Of beings.
So feel into that circle,
That connection.
Through your wits,
Your breath.
And then gently coming back into your center,
Wherever center is for you today.
Our center can change.
Sometimes it's deep in our bellies.
Sometimes it might be a little higher.
It might be in our hearts.
Sometimes even higher.
So just coming back into center.
Your center may have shifted during this exploration.
And then gently coming into the awareness of your back body.
The part of you that you might not be so familiar with,
We don't see it in the mirror very often.
Just sensing the back of you.
Maybe the back of you is touching support.
Maybe the back of you isn't,
But you have a sense of what's behind you.
Sensing the clothes on your back.
Whatever's supporting you.
From the back of your head,
Down the back of your body,
The back of your pelvis and legs,
The soles of your feet.
And as you rest back into the depth of you,
Sensing.
Sensing the generations that came before you.
The ancestors,
Not just of your own blood lineage,
But of your own.
Other lineages,
The people who have inspired you.
Giving you courage.
Taught you.
In their lives,
Whether you knew them or not.
The difference.
Lineages that we are a part of,
Just sensing.
The support.
All the generations of humans and more-than-humans that have come before us,
And here we are.
Sensing possibility of support,
Encouragement.
Coming forward,
Back into the center of you,
Between back and front,
And then coming to sense the front of your body.
Familiar front is how we present to the world,
It's how we move forward through time and space.
Also feeling the front of your body.
Maybe even sensing future.
How do we want to move?
How do we want to.
.
.
Offer our presence.
To those that come after us.
So sensing that through line.
Between past and future.
That lives in you.
Feeling the depth of you.
That you are a unique expression in this.
Lineage.
And movement of time and space.
And finally,
Coming back into center to feel those dimensions together,
The length of you,
The width of you,
The depth of you.
Feeling your plumpness in this present moment.
Just noticing what it's like to be aware.
Of those dimensions.
And maybe a little more full.
Exploring how moving,
Speaking,
Acting from this place out into the world.
Might offer you a different anchor,
Different way.
Of moving being.
Showing up.
Taking the fullness of you.
Into the world.
