Allow yourself a few moments to arrive.
To settle,
To drop.
And allow your attention to turn towards your physical presence on the planet.
The contact that your body makes with the ground.
Just let that be where you drop for a few moments to arrive.
Feeling contact and feeling support.
Whether you're standing and feeling your feet on the ground,
Or whether you're sitting and feeling your pelvis and sit bones,
Just simply notice support and ground.
I'm going to invite you to slowly bring your attention up your spine and invite some very soft little micro movements.
The image might be like a piece of kelp.
With a hold fast.
In the ground.
And the ability to.
Respond,
Move,
Shift.
In response to the currents around you.
Feeling the possibility of undulation.
Pulsation,
Ripple.
From your pelvis,
The root of your tailbone,
All the way up.
To your neck and head,
Just inviting very small,
Little undulations in any and all directions.
You might have your eyes closed,
And that's fine.
You might have your eyes open.
And if so,
Can you have your eyes soft in their gaze?
And just allowing your eyes to kind of follow whatever bobble movement your head might be making.
In response to the movement of your spine.
This practice is a beautiful way of coming into a sense of steadiness,
Support,
Grounding,
And also resilience and response.
There's something that's steady,
Rooted,
Connected,
And then also the ability to wave,
Ripple.
Move and be flexible.
So you might notice how doing this feels,
Not just on a physical level,
But on other levels of your being.
I'm gonna invite you to make it even smaller.
So small that if somebody were sitting with you,
They might not even notice that there was a little wave,
Seaweed motion happening.
Notice what happens with your breath.
Notice what happens in your mind.
And notice what happens in your heart space.
Allow the seaweed motion to just so gently kind of come into a moment of stillness.
Like there is in the moment of a slack tide between one direction and the other and just be with that.
Your eyes might,
Again,
Be closed or they might be open.
Just notice what it's like.
How that kind of movement may have shifted,
Opened.
Settled,
Arisen something in you.
Knowing that this is a practice that you can Take with you.
Anywhere you go.
As a reminder.
That when life gets hard,
And rigid,
That we can actually soften and supple and respond from a less hard and rigid place.
