Sometimes we carry stress or anxiety in our bodies, and it manifests as a knot in the stomach, tight shoulders, a tension headache, or a heaviness in the chest. During this meditation, we will use a simple visualization technique to help release stress, tension, pain, and anxiety from the mind and body. Especially helpful for empaths, sensitives, and anyone in a stressful job who tends to carry stress within the body.

Hi,

And welcome to this meditation on releasing stress.

Sometimes we carry stress or anxiety in our body,

And it manifests as a knot in the stomach,

Tight shoulders,

A tension headache,

Or a heaviness in the chest.

The body and its wisdom is helping us to see that we're carrying something that's hurting us,

So it gives us a pain signal to let us know.

So,

To begin releasing stress,

I invite you to first take three deep breaths,

And just sink into your body.

Breathe in and relax.

Breathe in and deepen.

Breathe in and find your center of peace and quiet.

Next,

Do a quick scan of your body and just notice where you are currently registering stress in your body.

As you get in touch with the stress in your body,

Acknowledge out loud or in your head what the stress feels like.

For example,

Say,

Right now I have a sore back or a tight shoulder or a knot in my stomach.

And once you've acknowledged it,

I want you to imagine that you can reach into this painful or tight area of your body and pull a picture out that will help you understand what's really going on underneath the stress.

So go ahead and imagine reaching into that area of your body and pull a picture out and hold it in front of you and notice who or what you see in this picture.

What stands out or is most noticeable about the picture?

Next,

I want you to take the picture and flip it over.

There's a message on the back for you.

And once you have received your message,

Take a deep breath into your body and just give up the picture and the stress to the universe now.

Who knows exactly how to handle this situation perfectly?

There's no need for you to carry this on your body anymore.

Just breathe in and as you breathe out,

Just fully release and let this go for now.

And finally,

Fill that area of your body with the most beautiful,

Soulful light that you can imagine,

Allowing yourself to fill in this space with your own beautiful,

Soulful energy.

And when you are ready,

Gently and slowly begin to move your body around and come back into the room.

Open your eyes,

Feeling peaceful and relaxed and ready to move on with your day.

Namaste.
