Hi,
It's Fletcher.
And today we're at the beach on the Mid-Atlantic.
And today we're going to drop into yourself.
Dropping into your surroundings.
And you'll probably hear quite a bit from my surroundings.
Just allow that to be part of your experience.
There you begin to drop your attention into the ocean of your breath.
Noticing,
Is it fast or free?
If your breath was a body of water.
What about your body and spirit?
Do you feel like any of those things?
Or something completely different?
So you have the beginnings of the shoreline.
Perhaps this shoreline is a place you've been before.
Or a place of your wildest dreams.
Feel yourself on the shoreline.
You see your body of water.
Already noticed its activity.
What type of weather is present?
Warm and sunny?
Cool or brisk?
Whatever it is,
You're pretty comfortable.
You feel your spirit really dropping deep within you.
Pulling the energy back that you've been expending outward all the time.
Bring that energy into yourself.
And as you breathe,
Your awareness drops deeper and deeper into yourself.
Perhaps you feel your face softening.
And releasing from the eyes.
A general sense of,
Ah,
Sweeps over your being.
You continue to be aware of your surroundings.
And mine.
All while sinking deeper into yourself.
You could be standing,
You could be sitting,
Laying down.
Imagining yourself now next to your body of water.
And feeling the earth beneath you,
Wherever it might be touching you.
Is it sand?
Rocks?
A dog.
Just beginning to become more aware of the water,
The earth,
The place you've chosen around you.
Is it night or day?
Is the moon out?
Is the sun out?
Are they both out?
How is the presence of your surroundings helping you to sink deeper into the presence of yourself?
Hard edges are softening.
And feeling the energy of the water to cleanse you.
And the waves coming towards the air bring you everything you need in this moment.
Softly sending it to you.
Everything you need in this moment.
The feeling of contentment sweeps over you.
As the waves proceed from shore,
With it they wash everything that's not serving you at this moment.
Perhaps it's something else that haunts feelings or emotions.
As the waves wash over you,
They release anything and all things that aren't you at this moment.
A slight breeze picks up.
At first you feel it cleansing your aura.
But then it sinks a little deeper into yourself.
And as you release this next exhale,
You feel your body soften a bit more.
Releasing.
And cleansing.
The shoreline and body of water provides everything you need.
Makes you feel whole.
Because you are.
Soak up how good this feels.
And since you're alive.
You're truly alone.
The world around you.
Yourself within you.
Deeply exhaling.
Waves bringing you everything you need.
As they receive.
Your being begins to feel a bit lighter.
Maybe a lot lighter.
And yet you feel fully connected.
And you're still having.
Deep peace.
Is around you.
Deep peace.
Is within you.
And all that there is.
Is peaceful.
But your presence is such that this moment is all that is.
And this is all there is.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And you're alive.
You're awake.
And also awakening.
Sensitive near being.
Sensitive near practice.
As you allow this portion of your practice to close.
But you carry on however feels appropriate.
