Welcome to your sleep meditation.
My name is Elena and tonight I'll be your guide into rest and relaxation.
This journey we're about to embark on together will take you into the space where your body will deeply rest,
Your mind will relax and your thoughts will drift into the background and then gradually dissolve and evaporate.
If you enjoy this practice and it resonates with you,
I invite you to listen to it every evening as you're about to go to bed for 30 days in a row.
This way your body and your nervous system will begin to let go with even more ease.
The process of falling asleep will become pleasant and effortless and your sleep will naturally deepen and become more restful and restorative.
Simply play this practice in the background or in your headphones as you're about to go to bed.
There is nothing that you need to do and there's nothing that you can possibly do wrong.
You don't even need to focus or listen closely,
Just allow my voice to wash over you like waves on warm sand,
It may find that you drift in and out,
You may even fall asleep before we reach the end and that's perfect.
This journey is created to support your sleep,
Your rest and your recovery.
This is your time to remember that you're safe,
Held and loved,
That you're already whole and complete,
That everything you long for is already on its way or perhaps already here,
Just waiting for you to see it and to let it in.
So,
Let go of expectations,
Let go of forcing,
Of needing to stay aware or awake or in control.
You can relax into trust,
Just follow the rhythm of your breath and let my voice guide you and whatever you experience or don't experience is exactly right.
It's happening all by itself,
There is nothing to fix,
Manage,
Change or orchestrate and as you notice your breath,
Especially your exhales,
You may already begin to feel your body responding,
Perhaps your shoulders soften slightly or your jaw releases or maybe it just feels good to slow down and witness your breath.
There are many ways your breath can deepen and it might be that your body already knows how to do that as soon as it realizes it's safe.
So,
Now,
Let your breath begin to slow down naturally,
Like a wave smoothing out across the sand,
There is no need to force it because when you relax into breath,
The breath begins to relax you and as you continue breathing,
It's easy to discover that with each exhale your body lets go just a little more and as the body lets go,
The mind may follow and as the mind softens,
The breath can slow even further,
It's all connected and it's already happening by itself.
You can allow this deepening process to unfold however it wants to as you observe your breath settling into a slow and relaxed rhythm.
In a moment,
I'll guide you to gently tighten different parts of your body,
Just a little,
Just enough to feel the contrast and then we'll let it all go.
So,
Let's begin with your feet,
Tense the feet ever so slightly,
Curl the toes,
Feel the warmth and relaxation spreading,
Tense up your calves and thighs and exhale as you release.
On your next in-breath,
Tense your hips and lower belly,
A gentle squeeze and exhale as you let it soften,
Draw in the abdominal muscles,
The chest and exhale let it all melt.
Make fists with your hands,
Squeeze just a little and exhale,
Release,
Draw your shoulders up slightly,
Hold that tiny bit of effort and on an out-breath,
Let your shoulders relax,
Tighten up your face gently,
Eyes,
Nose,
Jaw,
Forehead and release everything,
Letting your whole face smooth and soften,
Now on an in-breath let your whole body tighten up and as you breathe out,
Let it rest,
Heavy,
Warm,
Open and at the same time light,
Floating,
Resting,
Suspended in peace.
These waves of tension and letting go take you deeper into your own sanctuary of stillness and remind your body that it already knows how to rest.
And now,
Picture yourself standing at the top of a staircase,
Tucked between smooth stones and soft golden sand.
In a moment,
Not yet but in just a moment,
These steps will lead you down to a place of even deeper peace,
Even deeper safety,
Even deeper rest and relaxation.
You don't need to see each step clearly,
You may just feel a sense of stepping down and with every step,
Your body,
Your mind and your breath begin to soften.
With each number I count,
You will feel yourself going deeper into calm,
Into comfort,
Into stillness.
10.
Stepping down into ease,
Deeper still,
More relaxed.
8.
Your shoulders begin to melt.
7.
And your breath may already be slower now.
6.
Any remaining tension is melting like sunlight on your skin.
5.
Halfway down now and everything feels softer.
4.
Going deeper without trying.
3.
Feeling 10 times more relaxed.
2.
100 times more relaxed.
1.
Fully arrived,
Completely calm,
Safe,
Deeply at ease.
You rest at the bottom of the staircase,
In a space where your body and mind are completely relaxed.
Now invite a sensation of heaviness.
Feel the heaviness sinking into the earth beneath you,
So heavy,
It couldn't move if you tried.
And now imagine your body light as a feather,
Weightless,
As if it could float off into the sky.
Heavy and light.
Allow the sensations to alternate,
There's no need to decide,
Just allow.
Now feel a gentle warmth spreading across your chest.
Like the warmth of the sun on your skin.
Let it spread through your whole body.
A breeze brushing across your face.
Allow the sensations to alternate.
Warmth,
Coolness.
Drifting between warmth and coolness.
Drifting between opposites as you drift even deeper into a state of complete relaxation.
And now let's take a walk on the beach at twilight.
The sky is deepening into blues and violets.
The sun has just dipped beneath the horizon,
Leaving streaks of gold behind.
The ocean moves gently and the air holds the warmth of the day.
You're walking slowly,
Barefoot,
Feeling the warm sand beneath you.
There's nothing to rush.
And the slower you move,
The deeper you relax.
And ahead of you,
You see a natural stone archway.
It stands tall and elegant.
Its curves smoothed by time and tides.
It almost glows in the evening light.
The arch isn't just made of rock,
It's a doorway.
And it might be you've walked through it before.
In dreams or memories you've forgotten.
Or maybe it's the very first time.
You step closer.
Each step takes you deeper into comfort.
You may begin to notice that with every breath something inside you is letting go.
Perhaps it's something you didn't even know you were holding.
And when you're ready,
You step through the arch and everything changes.
The world becomes more still,
More spacious.
As you continue your walk on the beach,
You can now see a cozy blanket that has been prepared just for you on the sand.
It's a peaceful night with the ocean waves touching the shore very softly.
Your blanket is inviting you to come to rest.
You can choose to enjoy this magical place by yourself or invite someone you love to join you there.
Come to rest on the blanket beneath a sky shimmering with stars.
The ocean whispers beside you,
Each wave like a lullaby.
You notice the moon rising,
A soft silver glow over the water.
And it's almost as if the moon is watching over you,
Guiding you inward,
Deeper into yourself.
Something ancient in you remembers this,
This stillness,
This surrender.
And you may begin to wonder how deeply you can trust,
How much more you can let go,
How natural it is to be held.
And maybe the part of you that thought it had to be in control realizes it can rest now.
You don't have to figure it all out.
You don't need all the answers.
In fact,
The answers come more easily when you soften your grip.
And just as easily as dreams arrive,
The part of you that once clung to certainty can now fall back into the arms of mystery.
Let go of the need to control.
Surrender to the process of life.
And even if a part of you thinks it's not ready,
Maybe another part of you already knows you're safe,
You're held,
You're supported.
As you watch the moonlight shimmer across the water,
You hear a voice.
My love,
What you long for has already found you.
All that's left is to let it in.
Without needing to know how.
And even if a part of you thinks it's not ready,
Another part of you already knows you're safe,
You're held,
You're supported.
Now everything begins to fade into softness.
The sounds.
The sensations.
Even my voice may begin to drift into the background.
And that's okay.
It means you're slipping into the deeper layers of rest.
There's nothing more you need to hold.
Nothing more you need to try.
Let the waves carry you now.
Let your breath become the tide.
Let trust be the ground beneath you.
You're safe.
You're loved.
You're free.
You can let yourself softly slip into your dream state now.
Good night,
Beautiful soul.
Sleep well.
