Hi friends,
I'm here today to offer you a short guided meditation that focuses on the wisdom centers of the body.
Specifically in this meditation,
We'll bring energy to the belly,
The solar plexus.
To the heart center.
And also to the forehead,
Which is called the third eye in yoga.
And these centers are places where we can access our inner wisdom,
Our intuition,
Inner knowing.
And connection with spirit.
I find this meditation to be helpful at any time,
But especially if I'm struggling with something or trying to make a decision to decide what is the right next action for me to do,
I find this meditation can be helpful.
So you can either sit or lie down in any shape at all that feels comfortable for you.
And we'll start with hands resting gently on the belly.
You can close your eyes or soften your gaze.
And just see if you can feel the gentle movement of your breath under your hands.
Bringing your attention to more of an inward focus.
The belly center in yoga is called the solar plexus.
It's a place of your personal power,
Your will,
Your courage.
You might imagine a little flame here,
Soft flame burning in your belly.
Let there be a sense of warmth.
The belly center has a lot of nerve endings and you've probably heard the term trust your gut.
As you breathe in,
Let that sense of warmth move from your belly all the way out to the edges of your skin.
And as you breathe out,
Let there be just a gentle softness here.
No need to grip or hold.
You'll keep one hand resting on your belly and bring your other hand up over your heart.
Let me connect the place of our personal power at the solar plexus to the energetic center of love and compassion at your heart.
Notice what's on your heart today.
Can you let there be just space for whatever it is that's there?
We practice meeting ourselves with a sense of compassion and care.
The heart center is another wisdom center.
We can use this sense of compassion and care that we feel.
As a compass.
Guiding us through our lives.
Keep one hand over your heart center.
And take your other hand and place it gently on your forehead.
Let the palm of your hand rest against your forehead.
The forehead center in yoga is called the third eye.
It's this space from your forehead right into the center of your brain.
It's another wisdom center.
It connects us with.
Our sense of intuition and inner knowing.
Our connection with spirit.
Feel the connection of the palm of your hand on your forehead.
And maybe you just imagine a soft indigo light here like twilight.
Relax the muscles of your face.
And take a few breaths here just to listen.
And you'll take your hand from your forehead and bring that hand over your heart.
So both hands rest on your heart now.

Remembering.
That you have the tools to access your own inner wisdom.
To calm your nervous system.
Quiet your mind.
And to listen within.
