Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Bhāhār kyobhat ke?
Why do you search outside?
It goes,
Tāru rāmṛte me bhāhār kyobhat ke?
Eṣa eṣa hirilā ghati mā kahiye,
Johirī bina hirā kaun parakhye.
Eṣa eṣa ghrittu todama kahiye,
Jugee bina mā khan kyase nikale.
Eṣa eṣa ikhiwār todhi hivade pe jadeye,
Gurūbina tāla kaun khole.
Kāhe hokabirsa suno bhai sadhu,
Rām ile thane kaun hata ke.
Tāru rāmṛte me bhāhār kyobhat ke?
Two things to clarify here.
Number one,
When he says rām,
It does not mean Ram,
Darshvat sun,
It does not mean Lord Rama.
He has given the name Ram to the witness consciousness while speaking to a sadhu who worships Rama.
In another song,
He calls the same witness consciousness as Hari because the sadhu who had come to him was a worshipper of Hari.
And the same witness consciousness he addresses as Allah in front of another Muslim who came to him and who worships Allah.
Do you understand it?
So when he says Ram,
You have to put in bracket over there,
Witness consciousness.
So he says,
Your Ram is in your heart.
Why are you wandering outside?
Eṣa eṣa hīrila khatumei tahiyye,
Johri bina hira kaun parakey.
There are such rare gems hidden in this body but only a johri,
A jeweller has that kind of eye to recognise the diamond.
Question for you.
Are you a johri?
Are you a jeweller?
Have you reached that stage to recognise the diamond?
That witness consciousness can be experienced while in this body-mind complex.
That is why he is saying that it is full of gems inside,
In this body itself.
You don't have to go out.
In this body itself,
There are gems,
There are insights that can come up.
Simple insight that most of you must be having already because you are on this path.
It's obvious that you have this insight that I am not the body,
I have a body.
This insight was not there earlier on this path or before you came onto this path.
There are many people out there in this world who still believe,
Have a very firm belief,
I am this body.
So this is an insight,
This is that gem,
The hira that he is talking about.
There are many such gems he says.
Every single insight that comes up is a gem.
Another level of insight comes up for some people who recognise,
I am not the mind.
Till here it is very easy for some people and after here people hit the glass ceiling,
Glass wall and you stop progressing.
You think,
Oh I have got this,
I am not the body,
I am not the mind and this should be sufficient but there has to be more and you are trying really hard but you are not going ahead because you have hit this glass wall.
The next level of insight comes from,
I am not I,
I am not that ego.
Lot of people stumble and fumble here and they are not able to go beyond.
This is one gem.
If you have reached here,
Congrats,
Pat yourself on the back.
You have recognised,
I am not the ego,
I am not I and people who have been meditating recognise this thing.
I is just a thought that comes up after this sensation has arisen.
This is a major insight.
If you break through this one,
Then there is no going back for you on the spiritual path.
Now do you know the importance of meditation and how it will help the mind?
There are certain conditionings of our mind that we have firmly rooted ourselves into and these conditionings break through meditation.
Only silent meditation,
Not a record going on continuously 24-7,
That is not a silent retreat.
Absolute pin drop silence.
No music,
No instructions,
Nothing.
That is a real retreat.
That is what I was describing right now.
Only in that kind of silence will you reach this stage.
When you break through this barrier,
Recognising separately that a sensation is separate and the I that comes up is a thought that attaches to the sensation and says my sensation.
From the sensation you have the second level of belief,
My body or I am the body.
The same thing happens at the mind level.
The I thought comes up and relates to a particular feeling that comes up first.
Always feeling precedes a thought.
There is a feeling that comes up first.
This I thought goes and attaches to this feeling and then whatever the thought is,
She said this,
That happened,
I didn't get enough food for lunch,
Whatever.
The thought is irrelevant.
First there was a feeling and the feeling,
Those who have done Satipatthana meditation,
They will recognise it comes in the form of a slight sensation,
A craving for the mind to speak,
A craving for the mind to say something,
A restlessness developing up in the mind like a small tornado coming up and it's going to now just take over everything.
Those who have done Satipatthana's practice very earnestly will start recognising first there is a sensation,
Then there is I.
First there is a feeling,
Then there is a thought.
It's always an I thought.
When this becomes very clear to you,
Very clear,
Then there is no going back to the false belief of I am the body or I am the mind.
Then it's not intellectual,
It's experiential.
Then you see it day to day.
From one moment to another moment,
You see that sensations arise on their own.
I,
The so-called I,
Ego,
Does Tadatma later.
Feelings arise of their own accord.
The so-called I,
The ego,
Does Tadatma or Tadatma is translated as identification.
It does identification with that later on.
This is one of the Kohinoor diamonds.
If you hit this one,
Then there is no going back.
Till you don't hit this Kohinoor diamond,
You are going to definitely slip again and again from your level of progress on the spiritual path.
You must have noticed this.
So this gem is found where Tabir says,
In this Ghat only,
Aisa Aisa Hirila Ghatme Kahiye.
Johri Binahira Kohana Parke.
Aisa Aisa Gritto Dudma Kahiye.
The pure ghee is already the potential of the milk.
The milk already has ghee in it.
What is required for really the ghee to come out?
The churning.
Yes?
So Johri E Binaa Makhan Kye Se Nikle.
And what is the churning?
You are shuttling between your spiritual life and your so-called family life or material world.
This is Jhugna.
This is the turmoil that a spiritual seeker has to go through.
Everybody has to go through one way.
You keep shuttling between the spiritual side and the material side and this shuttling will be crazy.
But you have to get through this Jhugna.
Ne to Makhan Kye Se Nikle.
How?
How will the ghee come out?
It is already a part of the milk.
It is not something new that we manufacture.
Remember this.
Makhan comes out of milk.
Butter comes out of milk.
Ghee comes out of milk.
It is in milk.
What am I trying to tell you here?
Witness consciousness cannot be got from outside.
Enlightenment cannot be gained from outside.
It is already there.
Do you see what I am saying?
Yeah?
It is already there.
It is already there.
A little Jhugna is required.
A little bit of shuttling.
A little bit of turmoil of the mind.
A little bit of going through whatever the problems between the spiritual side of you and the material side of you.
That tug of war.
It is a must.
It has to happen.
Then only can clarity dawn.
Yeah?
Next homework for you.
Are you Makhan yet or are you just milk?
Dude.
Ese ese aag toh lakthiri ma kahiye.
Ghase bina aag ke se nikle.
Within the wood itself the potential of fire is there.
Without the friction of you really giving friction to the wood,
How can the fire come out?
Friction is required for the fire to come out.
Yeah?
So if there is friction at home because of your spiritual path,
Take it as a blessing.
I have reached this level that Kabir is talking about.
Let me embrace it.
Let me be happy about it.
It is okay.
It means that the process has begun.
The Makhan is going to come out very soon.
The butter is going to come out very soon.
Yeah?
The spark of the fire of knowledge is going to light very soon.
So it's okay.
The friction is good for me.
It is required.
It is because fire of knowledge is my nature.
It is already inherent in me.
It has to just come out.
It has to become evident.
Ese ese keewarto heewade pejadiye.
On the door of your heart there are many locks.
Not one lock huh?
Many many locks.
The whole door is covered with locks and these locks need to be opened.
Guru bin na tala kon khole.
Again be very very clear.
On Kabir's path he is not talking about an external guru.
He is talking about the witness consciousness being the guru and the body-mind complex which is the fake I that is the disciple.
We did this last weekend.
Yeah?
The guru and the disciple are the two birds on the tree.
If you remember we did this.
Yeah?
The disciple is the body-mind,
Ego,
Intellect and the guru is the witness consciousness.
Only this witness consciousness can open the locks.
Nobody else can open the locks.
He is not an external person.
No external guru.
Not Ekta.
No other teacher can open the locks.
Any external guru or teacher or scripture can only point in that correct direction.
What is the correct direction?
This.
Who has to start walking?
I will have to do it.
When I start walking into the correct direction I am going towards that guru within.
Yeah?
An external guru's job is to point to an internal guru.
If the external guru is not doing that then it's not a guru at all.
Yeah?
Drop.
Move.
Next.
Next.
Next.
Find the truth.
Find the truth Kabir says.
Find the guru within.
That is the second bird that we did.
Yeah?
We did this last weekend.
The bird,
The higher bird is the guru.
The lower bird is the one who is continuously consuming in this world.
So Guru Bina Tala Kon Khole.
Kahe Kabir Suno Bhai Sadhu Ram Mile Thane Kon Hatte Ki.
Says Kabir to all the seekers.
Without that witness consciousness which is Ram,
Which is Guru,
Which is Hari,
Which is Allah.
Without that,
Without finding the essence of that you will not reach a state where you are at peace.
Not possible.
And once you reach there then nobody can disturb you.
Kon Hatke.
Who can disturb you?
Once you reach that peace,
Who can disturb you?
Nobody can touch you.
Nobody can come close to touching you.
Yeah?
Tharu Ram Radhe Mi Bahar Ki Om Hatte Ki.
