It was Albert Einstein who said that imagination is more important than knowledge.
For while knowledge defines all that we currently know and understand,
Imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.
And it was Henry Corbin who writes that imagination is the intermediary between the world of pure spiritual realities,
The world of mystery,
And the visible,
Sensible world.
The imagination has a metaphysical status.
Indeed,
The Sufis referred to creative imagination as a science of the heart.
In my experience,
The imagination is like a muscle,
And we can strengthen it by practicing visualization.
So in this guided meditation,
You will hear three visualization soundscapes.
These are invitations for you to experience your imagination,
And there's no right or wrong way to have this experience.
I would like to invite you to set an intention,
Which could be an exploration of your core desired feeling states after this meditation is complete.
So asking yourself the question,
How do I want to feel at the end of this meditation?
Maybe you want to feel relaxed,
Maybe you want to feel relief,
Maybe you'd like to feel greater calm,
Vibrancy,
Luminosity,
Whatever it is,
Allow yourself a few moments here now to set those intentions.
This is the first visualization experience.
See where it takes you in your mind's eye,
And if it doesn't take you anywhere,
That's fine,
Just noticing how you feel.
All right,
Before we move on to the next visualization,
Let's take a break.
All right,
Moving on to the second visualization,
And let's take a shorter break this time,
And we'll come right back to finish with the final visualization.
Welcome to the final visualization.
