How often do we take time to slow down and listen to our own internal wisdom? This brief meditation allows the space for one to engage in a visualization, and the ability to access one's higher wiser self. In this meditation, space is provided to listen to the answers that exist within.

I'd like to welcome you to take several deep breaths,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Allowing your body to relax,

Inhaling a sense of relaxation and letting go of anything you don't need.

And that's it.

Gently closing your eyes.

And as your eyes are closed,

I want you to imagine yourself somewhere in a garden outside.

You're surrounded by beautiful flowers and green grass and beautiful trees.

And you slowly start to walk through this garden and find a pathway that walks into nearby woods.

Slowly walking through the woods,

Noticing enormous comforting trees around you.

And then just gently ahead of you,

There is a cabin.

It seems like a cozy cabin.

And as you walk through towards the front of the cabin,

You notice the door is slightly open.

And there's a sign written on a chalkboard that says welcome with your name on it.

You slowly open the door and feel the warmth of a fireplace and the smell of chocolate cookies.

And as you open the door,

Someone greets you.

You notice somebody greeting you,

Calling your name gently.

And that's a person sitting by the fireplace in a rocking chair.

They're a little older.

And as you look into their eyes,

You notice something familiar.

It's someone you recognize.

This person slowly smiles at you.

And you recognize that it's an older version of you.

This person stands up and you both offer each other a warm hug.

You can't believe that you're standing in front of this older,

Wise version of you.

You're excited as you have so many questions to ask yourself.

Take a moment,

Greet each other,

And ask this older,

Wise you some questions you have about what you might be struggling with in your life at the moment.

This older,

Wise you is filled with answers to these questions that you might be having in your heart at the moment.

And before you leave each other,

This older,

Wise you wants to offer you a gift.

You open your hand to receive this gift and opening up the package to see what's inside.

You're surprised to see what's inside.

The older version of you offers several more bits of wisdom for you at the moment.

You truly appreciate this gift the future you has offered and these words of wisdom.

And you cherish it.

You know this older version of you is always available,

Having the answers and the wisdom to ascertain.

You gently give each other one more soft hug.

This older version of you smiles,

Knowing you will return again.

You gently wave goodbye and slowly walk out of the door that you came from,

Walking back through the woods and through the garden,

Knowing that you're going to return again to your life,

Your everyday life,

A tiny bit wiser.

By the count of five,

I'm going to gently ask you to open your eyes.

One,

Feeling a sense of relaxation.

Two,

Three,

Feeling a sense of comfort.

Four,

Knowing this wisdom is always available.

And five,

Gently open your eyes and welcome yourself back into the room.

You have arrived.

You have arrived.
