Many of us yearn to press reset on our days shortly after they have begun. This meditation will assist you on pausing midday to course-correct your path for the remaining hours. Try this during lunchtime to re-align your intentions by paying attention to what has occurred and how you want it to further unfold.

Hello,

This is Dr.

Trisha and today we're going to do a reset meditation.

So meditations,

A lot of times we do them in the morning and that's what we're encouraged to do to start our day with a sense of energy and spirituality and centeredness and sometimes we might do them in the evening as a way to assist us to fall asleep,

Let go of the day and go into a state of relaxation.

But often times when we really need the meditation is in the middle of the day or some point that's not the morning and not the evening or multiple times a day and so what we're going to do now is a reset meditation.

So I want you to find a comfortable position whether that's cross legged in the floor and an easy Sukhasana position,

You're welcome to take a full lotus position or even sitting on a chair or if it's available even lying down.

Have your palms,

If you're seated versus lying down,

Have your palms face down,

Palms down on your lap so as to ground you.

I want us to start to take a few deep belly breaths.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

And again inhale and exhale.

And simply notice here how do you feel in your body right now before we do anything,

What do you notice?

What do you notice about the state of your mind right now?

Is your energy dispersed all over the place?

Is there a sense of stress,

Anxiety,

Sadness,

Stuckness?

What do you notice?

And I want you now to just to begin sending a sense of relaxation to those body parts.

So you might be feeling a little bit of stress.

So allow your shoulders to start to relax.

Allow the facial muscles to soften.

Allowing the jaw to soften and the eyelids.

Your eyes can either be closed or gaze softly at several feet in front of you.

Continuing to send your breath and awareness to anywhere in your body that you might be feeling a bit of stuck tension.

Now gently in your mind's eye,

I want you to review the day so far.

Take one thing that went well today,

Whether that was something that happened at work or at home or in a project you're working on,

Just the fact that you're getting up today.

Send a sense of gratitude to that event or that moment that went well today,

However big or small.

And now choose one thing today that maybe could have gone differently.

What did you learn from that today?

What might you choose to do differently?

And sometimes we think things are out of our control and they are,

But we can start to choose to slow down what you're doing right now.

And from that we can choose to think differently of a situation or respond differently in the future.

To end a conversation earlier and regroup.

And send that situation a sense of gratitude for teaching you this lesson today.

Breathe into this.

Now envision how do you want the rest of the day to go?

How do you want to feel?

What is the mental state you want to be in for the rest of the day?

How do you want to serve others today?

What is arising for you right now as you're thinking of the rest of the day?

Of your emotions that you want to feel,

Actions you might want to take.

What would be one or three words to describe that as your intention for the day,

For the remainder of the day?

Where do you want to feel that in your body?

For some it might be centered in their belly.

One might want to express love and feel that in the throat chakra or in the heart of a sense of wanting to give.

Feel grounded in their feet.

Just notice where that is for you.

Or just a sense of relaxation in one's back or power and strength in your arms.

What is that for you?

How do you want to feel today?

Where do you want to feel that?

And allow yourself right now to breathe that into your being at this moment.

Know that this feeling and this intention is an anchor for you today.

You're feeling it now.

You can feel it again.

Regardless of what comes up,

It's a tether that's going to pull you back like a string or a balloon if you feel that it's getting lifted and out of our control and pulled around.

Tether it back.

Anchor it.

Tether it to right now.

You know what this feels like.

You can come back to this.

Know that the rest of the day,

Whatever arises,

You've got this.

You can come back to your intention by simply closing your eyes and feeling this in your body,

Repeating this intention to yourself.

You've got this.

Slowly taking another breath here.

And with this exhalation,

You can gently start to open your eyes with a soft gaze,

Letting the world in and welcoming yourself back into a fresh reset for the rest of your day.

Thank you.
