Hello,
This is Dr.
Tricia and today we're going to do a brief guided meditation about discovering your gifts.
You have a gift to share with the world,
But oftentimes we lose sight of this because we're trying to live up to the roles that either society or family or ourselves have placed upon us.
We think the roles are all that we are,
But in truth we're so much more.
We think that we are only an A student,
Or the good girl,
Or the good boy.
We're the loving partner,
The ever-giving parent,
The martyr child,
And the parentified child maybe even,
The overachiever at work.
But we're so much more than that,
And often we forget that.
And so part of this meditation is to remember who we are and remember that the gifts that we have that are outside of these roles.
So let's explore that together now.
Let's take several deep breaths together.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
And as you're taking these breaths,
Sending awareness to your heart area right now.
Inhaling and imagining a soft white light around your heart.
As you inhale and exhale.
And now imagining going into that light and seeing yourself in a field of grass right now.
Noticing the colors of the grass,
The various shades of green.
It's a beautiful warm day,
Noticing the colors in the sky and the shape of the clouds.
Feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin and allowing yourself to walk through the grass right now.
And as you walk through the grass,
Noticing the beautiful oak tree that can offer some shade at this moment.
Walk towards that oak tree and allow yourself to sit under the oak tree and maybe even have your back rest upon that oak tree,
Offering you some much needed support.
And as you're here,
Noticing the beautiful day in the field of grass,
You also start to notice a person walking towards you.
They look familiar.
And as they walk closer towards you,
You realize it's an older version of you.
A wise you,
Your highest self.
As they walk towards you,
They choose to sit next to you under the tree.
Say hello to your highest self.
And as they sit next to you,
They ask you,
Who are you?
And they ask you again,
Who are you?
And again,
Who are you?
Remember you used to love.
If you could do anything,
You would.
Your gifts are.

.
Your gifts are.
.
.
People come to you for help with,
I am great at.
.
.
And now this wise being,
Again you,
Your highest self,
Offers you a gift.
They place it from their hands to your hands and take a moment to inspect this gift.
What is it?
Bring it towards the light and the sun to look at it from different angles.
What is this gift?
And now this wise being has some words of advice to offer you.
What do they say?
Or if you have a specific question for this wise being,
Now is your time to ask.
And now it's time for this wise being to leave.
But know that they're always available for you.
They offer you a hug and share.
Remember your gifts are.

You slowly watch this wise being stand up and begin to walk away into the field.
Continue to notice how you feel right now at this moment after having this experience with your wise highest self.
Where do you feel this in your body?
Taking another couple of deep breaths here.
Knowing that you can always come back to the safe,
Warm,
Wise place within.
Inhale here and then softly with control,
Allowing your eyes to gently open,
Bringing in a soft gaze,
Welcoming in the room.
And you might want to jot down what you experienced just now to remember.
What did the wise being share with you?
What gifts were shared?
What gift did they offer you?
What did you remember that you used to love?
How did you describe yourself?
So take some time to reflect on this today and know that you can always come back to this meditation.
May it be so.
Know that the world is waiting for you to share your gifts with it.
You are waiting for you to discover,
Reveal and share your gifts with yourself.
