Transcript

Finding a comfortable place to sit.

Asking your body for permission to be still for a few moments as you land here.

Honoring yourself for choosing quiet,

The opening,

The freedom.

As you inhale,

Draw your attention to the oxygen as it enters the tips of your nose.

And as you exhale,

Feel the oxygen as it leaves your nostrils.

Just noticing that as you draw your awareness to this sensation,

Something shifts.

Letting yourself continue to breathe in and out naturally.

At any moment if your mind wanders from this meditation,

Bringing your attention back to that sensation at the tips of your nostrils.

In order to connect in to those around you,

To that which surrounds you.

To what is greater than you.

On your next inhale say to yourself the word I.

And on your next exhale the word am.

As you inhale,

I.

And as you exhale,

Am.

As you inhale say the word I.

And as you exhale,

Am.

Inhaling,

I.

And exhaling,

Am.

I.

Am.

I.

Am.

I.

Am.

Continuing in this way on your breath.

Inhaling,

I.

And exhaling,

Am.

As you continue to inhale,

I.

And exhale,

Am.

Perhaps there's an adjective or a noun or a verb that arrives to your mind.

Allow yourself to add on to this complete sentence of I am.

With a word like enough.

Or love.

Or hear.

Anything that you need.

As a recognition and a remembrance of who you are.

Inhale,

I.

Exhale,

Am.

Adding on anything that would be useful to you now.

I.

Am.

I.

Am.

Then recognizing just as you are.

So is that.

So are they.

We are.

We are.

Drawing your mind and your attention back to your breath.

Allowing any sensation or emotion that arrives to you to come.

Welcoming it.

As you continue to inhale,

I.

And exhale,

Am.

Adding on any word.

That would serve you in this moment.

Inhaling,

I.

Exhaling,

Am.

Continue to do so for five more cycles of breath.

And with the awareness of the interconnection between you and all that is.

And with gratitude for the benevolence the I am that surrounds you.

Slowly bring yourself back to this present moment.

To the sensations in your body.

Allowing your eyes to gently open.

Honoring yourself for choosing to take this time to sit in stillness and connect within you and around you.

I think it was really good! I AM is simple but important. It just felt a little rushed at times. More time to breathe in the middle would make it perfect!
